How could I have been so blind. There was something about that guy that I didn't like. "YOU IDEOT!" Said the other voice. "WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN HER TO STAY WITH US FOR A LIFE TIME!!!! YOU BETTER FIND HER BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, THEN YOU'LL HAVE YOUR ASS SERVED TO YOU ON A PLATE!!!"
They left but to be sure I was silent for a few more minutes.
"They're gone." Austin said sitting up. He seemed a bit more mellow now.
"Thanks," I said pushing my self up. "By the way, I'm Nina Acer." I shook his hand and smiled.
"Your welcome." He said with a warm smile. God, he's adorable.
Earlier he was so harsh and cold but now he looks sweet and kind. Like he has know me all of his life. I wish I could get to know him better.
"So, why did you help me?"
"2 years ago, I saw a girl who was going to the same club that you were about to go to." He pause and sighed, maybe I shouldn't have asked.
"Um if it's to hard for you right now then you can tell me later." I stood up and brushed the dirt off my dress. "We'll I better get back to my hotel, nice meeting y.." He grabbed my hand.
"You can't go back now, the guy who was planning to kidnap you might get you while you're sleeping." He pulled on my arm and tried to make me fallow him.
"What about my friends?" I asked. This was starting to get scary. What is this guy gets Maria and Kate?
Austin looked me in the eyes. "Couldn't you tell? They had no interest in your friends. If they did, then that guy wouldn't have gotten so upset."
He was right. "Okay," I said. "But where are we gonna go?" I started to tremble. My eyes stung and I wanted to start crying. "I uh..... Maybe we should.........uh." My voice was starting to crack. I could barely speak. Tears started rolling down my face. "I don't know what to do. You lead the way." I managed to choke out.
Austin's had a look of pity on his face but only for a few seconds. "Let's go." He said pulling my arm.
[Austin]
I felt bad for her. A young girl being stalked by some old dirty perverts that only want her as a "personal assistant". She must be terrified. I would be too.
"Let's go to a motel and get a room." I said turning to look back at Nina. Her eyes were red and her eyeliner had streamed down her face. "Do you need a tissue?" I asked.
She just looked at the ground and started crying again. "Hey, don't cry." I said trying to get her to stop. But to be honest, I don't know how to get a girl to stop crying. Do I hug her? Make her laugh? Ignore her? I've never been in a situation like this before. "C'mon, let's go. I'll get you something to eat and then we can figure out a plan." I grabbed her arm and pulled her along.
"Can we get some pizza?" She asked shyly.
"Sure."
We walked to the closet pizza place which conveniently was next to a motel.
We sat inside in the air conditioning. I was late so the restaurant was almost empty. "Do you want then penne pasta with risotto or a cheese pizza?" I asked.
" Uh...." She was stuttering again. "How bout a pizza, a... and some bread sticks."
"Sounds good." I said
"Okay then," She stood up and pushed in her chair. "I have to use the bathroom."
She walked away from the table with her head down and her hands in the pockets of my hoodie.(She said she was cold so I let her barrow it.) I felt bad for her. I mean some old perv was going to kidnap her and...... Who knows what he could have done to her if I hadn't helped her hide.
I watched her walk to the bathroom, why was I trying to help her? I don't even know her. But there's something about her.
