Avoiding the 0 negitive

Chapter 5

"Austin, I just.... I just want to go home." I fell to the floor. "I want to be with my parents and sister. Please," I looked up at him as if I were a child who fell and scratched their thumb. "Bring me home."

She had fallen to her knees crying. I was crouched in front of her only a few inches from her face. "I want to go home." She sobbed.

I pulled her into my arms. "You'll be home soon. I promise. No one will come near you as long as I'm around."

She wrapped her arms around my back and cried. I could feel her tears on my T-shirt. I felt a lot of sorrow for her, she was almost kidnapped, her friends might be in danger too. I have no idea what to do right now. Just sit here and let her cry? Or get out of this hotel as soon as possible. Okay, I'll wait until she calms down then tell her to get ready and we can leave.

"Austin," she said shakily. "Why did you save me?" She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. A sudden jolt went down my back, causing me to shift my position. "Why won't you tell me?"

I sat down on the floor and rested my elbow on the floor. "Can I tell you when we get to my place?" I asked

"As long as I get to find out why, then I can wait." Her arms were still wrapped around my back. It took me a while to realize how close we were.

Her head was resting on my chest. I felt her crying still and didn't want to bother her. "Alright, you should get ready."

She didn't move. "Just a few more minuets. Please." She said.

How was I going to just get up. She's in pain. Not physically but mentally. "Your hair is all tangled." I could feel my face turning red. "You should brush it." I pulled her left arm off my back.

"What's the mater?" She asked looking up at me. "Your face is all red. Am I making you uncomfortable?" She asked with a smirk.

"Kind of."

"Alright, I'll go clean up." She sat on her knees and wiped her eyes. "I might take a while. So just watch tv or something while I'm in there."

I helped her up and walked over to the tv.
