Chapter 17

Blessing's POV
Tonight's the day of the big proposal. Chris amped it up and is proposing live to Kae on stage. I still feel bad for calling Kae all those names. Chris is doing it at the Barclays center. Yup, were in New York. I was allowed to bring my partner in crime Isaiah. I have other friends, but they can't even touch Isaiah. Nana is coming too.
"So when we get there Blessing, well Bless you know the drill. But Isaiah, don't stop for anybody, especially paparazzi. Just follow Lewis. This is serious cause I'm 101% positive that if something happens to you, people all over will be mourning my death."
Isaiah laughs and nods.
"And Bless let's not curse Kae out this time, or you know throw things at her." My dad says tickling my side.
"Stop it!" I yell out pushing away from him.
I could smell the weed on him. He says it just a weed scented cologne but it's a pre show ritual for a lot of celebs. Since he's relaxed why not tell him about the bracelet now. Also if he's mad he won't yell at me because grandma's here and will yell at him.

"So Chris.... I lost that 24k charm bracelet you gave me.." I say

Isaiah's mouth drops to the floor and he gasp

"No you didn't." my dad laughs.

"what?"

"You left it in my bathroom and I was waiting for you to tell me you couldn't find it."

I playfully push him.

"Daddy that's not cool! I was so scared to tell you because I thought you would never buy me anything again."

"Nah, I wouldn't had been mad. But I wouldn't ever had bought you 24k gold again. It's on my dresser."

I breathe a deep sigh of relief and high five Isaiah

"Bless can we please switch parents?Your dad is awesome!" Isaiah ask

"Deal, your moms amazeballs!" She do our handshake and Chris looks at me wide eyed

"You wouldn't even sell me for a dollar?" he puts his hand on his chest

The concerts been going on for about an hour and a half now and finally Chris came on and did his thing. Now he's about to propose to Kae. He finished off his last song by the stage going completely black. No one could see anything. Then suddenly the lights come back on. Chris has a chair wrapped in white roses on the middle of the stage, and its surrounded by a pond of Hibiscus flowers, Kae's favorite flower. Except there's a white carpeted pathway.

Chris walks out singing "yo excuse me miss" everyone is appalled that he's singing such an old song and they're confused as to why flowers are everywhere. Then suddenly Chris walks towards where we are sitting front row and grabs Kae's hand and sings

'Now shawty grab hold of my hand
And let's pretend the floor is ours'

He makes her get up and walks back to the center with her. At this point Kae is crying and smiling

'You say you don't really dance
Don't worry bout it
It's just one, two, step
One, two, step'

And they do it together... well Kae tries and then he leads her to sit down in the chair. The background music cuts off and he walks in front of her and starts singing acapella

"I want to be where you are
Ain't nothin' wrong with dancin'
Baby you're so romantic
Baby, I can be in your heart
So many things I want to tell you
I think that I should start by saying
I really love you Kae,
So excuse me miss
But I would love to marry you."

He stops singing and gets down on one knee

"Karrueche Tran, will you marry me?"

Kae cover her face with her hands and cries for like 30 seconds

"So... is that a yes?" Chris ask, causing laughter from the audience. There's 3 big TV's. Chris and Kae are zoomed in on one, Isaiah, Nana, and I are zoomed in on two and the third is zooming in on people in the audiences reactions. I can't lie but I'm in tears because of how beautiful and sweet it was. Nana's smiling and wiping her tears, while Isaiah smiles. The audience has mixed emotions.

Kae nods,hugs him tight, and kisses him.

Chris punches his fist in the air to claim Victory and finishes off the song still hugging Kae. Then Kae takes the mic.

"I have news too."

"Christopher Maurice Brown, will you be the father of our child?"

Kae removes her Jean jacket to show a mild baby bump.
Me, Isaiah, Nana, and everyone in the audiences mouth drops. Even Chris's.

This time he kisses her, with her arms wrapped around his neck

"He said yes!" Kae exclaims into the mic.

Him and Kae then walk off hand in hand.

I didn't know how to feel about her being pregnant. I mean finally I get a dad and then in the next few months I have to share him. I'm kinda upset that she'd be so inconsiderate as to get pregnant.
