Blessing's point of view
This is my first day back to school since I got a...ya know...a boyfriend. I'm nervous because what if he wants to hold hands.. Or even kiss. Never in my life have I kissed a boy. I just walked into the school building and found Tati. She's already dragging me to Sebastian.
"Tati, I'm nervous."
"Yea I can tell... Your hands are like butter." She lets go of my hand and wipes it on her skirt. I do the same.
"Tati, do you think anyone else knows?"
"Yup." She smiles
Great.
We eventually reach Sebastian, who is also being pushed by one of his friends.
"Okay, JJ." He says to the boy, JJ. "Hey Blessing.."
I smile
"Hi, Sebastian."
This wouldn't be so awkward if the whole fifth grade wasn't watching us
Sebastian hugs me and I hug him back
"If we run fast enough maybe we can loose them." He whispers
"I doubt it. Tati is pretty fast."
"Yea, you're right."
We end the hug and hold hands.
"So...are you guys gonna kiss?" Someone calls out, next thing you know the crowd is chanting for us to kiss.
"So....do you want to?"
"Only if you do... Not that I can't make my own decisions..but...uh."
He laughs
"Nice to know you're nervous too." He says, I reply with a smile
We come back to realizing the crowd chanting.
"Alright. So I don't want to move too fast... So when I lean in to kiss you.... We both take a run to the 3rd grade floor...ready?"
I smile and nod
He starts leaning into kiss me. For a second I forget the plan. Then I see him start running and snap back. We take off and it isn't long until we've lost them. Everything's good until I fall on the stair case and scrape my knee.
"Oooooo, you good bro?" Sebastian comes back and looks at me
"Yeah, My knees just bleeding... Don't worry my hearts still beating." I smile sarcastically.
He laughs and helps me stand up.
"Let me help you to the nurse." He lays my arm across his shoulders and puts his arm around my waist, helping me down the rest of the stairs.
"Does it hurt?" He ask
"It just burns... Nothing too bad."
"That's good." He helps me all the way to the nurse and helps me sit down.
"Sebastian Colucci..... Blessing Brown. What happened?"
Colucci? That's has to be either an Italian or Spanish last name. I guess I should get to know my boyfriend better.
"Well Nurse Nancy, Blessing fell head over heels for me and skinned her knee in the process." Sebastian explains, looking at me.
I laugh
"No, actually I fell running down the stair case." I explain
"Well, this is why we say don't run on the stairs. Sebastian, it was very nice of you to escort her down here. I'll make sure to right you a referral for a good deed award. You may go to class now." She smiles
