Patton's POV

I was walking back to the the castle when I passed Logan. Oh he was just everything I wanted and more! I've been crushing on him since I was 16 and I haven't told anyone. I decided that today would be that day. I needed to get this off of my chest.

When I got back to the castle, I was greeted by One of my Besties, Emile. I knew this had to get out of me but I couldn't choke any words out. I started to panic but quickly calmed myself.

"We need to talk.."

Emile looked concerned. I phrased the words in a way that it would be understandable to confuse the seriousness of the future conversation.

The thought of Logan alone made me smile. Emile relaxed when he saw my same natural grin. I was obviously sweating but I tried my best to ignore it.

   "Emile?"

   "Yea Patton? What's wrong?"

   I giggled. I thought of Logan again. I thought of the way he wants everything perfect, the way he smiles, the way he talks, and walks, and laughs!

   "Nothing is wrong..  everything is perfect.."

   Emile looked genuinely concerned.

   "Your not one to get high Patton, are you ok? Did anyone hurt you? did you get forced?!"

   Ok now he was just talking nonsense. I laughed again. I wasn't high although I wasn't one to act like this so it was understandable to think so.

   "I'm not high, I just, really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY LIKE SOMEONE!!!!!"

   Emile smiled brightly and got pretty excited pretty quickly. I pulled him into the bedroom we share. No one else was here so we could talk.

"So whats this low ranked "prince" called!?"

    "low ranked?.."

    "Yes.. it's a servant right?"
 
   There was silence.

   "Right!?"

   "Well.."

   "But that's not allowed! Ya know, according to the much discussed rule number VII?"

    'Servants may not have any relationships within the higher ranked workers inside the walls of crowned ring castle.'

   "Yea I know.. but I've already liked him for 10 years and I kinda can't stop.."

We conversated for a while after that.

[little did they know that someone was listening]

Virgils POV

I was hiding behind a tree, waiting for Roman. I was in my cat form to prepare myself for something to chase me. I heard a rustle in the bushes behind me. I turned around and got ready to run and I was glad I did because out of the bushes jumped out a dragon three times my size! I was a small cat so he probably wasn't that big but he was intimidating looming over me. I ran like I had never before but he was catching up.

I ran up the tree and he ran up after me flapping his wings clumsly causing him to be even faster than on the ground. I regretted my decision. He caught me, glided to the ground and pinned me down. I could see the joy of victory in his eyes. We both turned to humans at the same time. I was still pinned down and in a quiet whine I said,

"You scared me.."

"Aww I'm sorry.."

He was still smiling when he apologized. He was obviously being playful about everything but so was I. He still scared me though...

He got off of me and I quickly got up because I didn't like being pinned and unable to defend myself, unfortunately it still happens a lot. I was about to say something when someone came out on the path.

"Logan! Why are here.."

Roman scratched the back of his neck nervously. I was slightly panicked but I tried not to show it.

"Again?" [-_-]

"Alright look, the castle gets boring and I want to go on adventures!"

"That, was an adventure?"

"Y-yea~"

"Do you know the dangers of doing this!?"

"Ughhhhh!"

Roman was obviously annoyed.

"If the king caught you guys-"

Roman just looked away, leaned against a tree and moved his hand like he was making a puppet talk in a mocking way, Logan didn't seem bothered by it and continued.

"-Then both of you would be dead"

"I think I'm aware, also if any of us got caught then we would all be dead"

Roman mumbled the first part with his head down, playing with fingernails then looked up, spoke louder, bumped himself off the tree to stand normally and had a more mocking voice than before for the second part. Then fell back on the tree once more.

Logan just sighed and turned to me.

"And who is this?"

Roman also turned to me. Looks like he forgot I was there.

"Oh! This Virgil!"

"Salutations Virgil"

I just gave him the two finger salute because I didn't really like to talk. Why? I don't know if you've noticed but I have a stuttering problem and I don't like it when people to notice it much.

[sorry i didn't update for a while, I just got lazy. I'm also sorry that this chapter is short but I wanted to give you an update. Also my other book is 13th place in reciet when I hadn't even mentioned reciet in it cause I got bored of writing it lol, explain]
