Daring stared at the ceiling as he laid in bed.

His thoughts were completely taken over by you. Your hair, your eyes, your form. You.

Daring never knew that he'd ever be able to find any good reason for a person to not want to be a royal. But you had somehow put it into perspective for him. You really were going to be a nobody in your future. Daring was going to be the King of the entire kingdom. You would just bake bread til your own children took over. He probably would have never have even met you in the first place if it wasn't for the program. He wouldn't have even known you existed. And he wouldn't have even cared.

But now, he can't forget you. You really were going to be a nobody. You didn't want that though. You wanted more.

Then, you met him. It can't be a coincidence, right? You wanted more in life, and then you two were paired up. This must be a sign.

Perhaps, Daring was supposed to help you. You were a damsel after all, and a very pretty one at that. He needed to rescue you from your destiny. Maybe even make you apart of his.

He sprung up from his bed, "It all makes perfect sense!"

"Ah!"

Daring looked over to see he had awoken his roommate. "Sorry, Hopper. I, uh, just found out what kind of suit I'm going to wear on Legacy Day. It'll be quite charming, I assure you."

Daring flashed him a smile, before he just collapsed back into bed and fell asleep. Daring's smile dropped and he quietly got out of bed and maneuvered around the room.

He got dressed in one of his finest outfits and left the room. He started roaming through the halls of the school.

He had no idea what he was trying to do. All he knew was that he couldn't sleep with you on his mind. Then, a genius idea struck his beautiful mind.

Daring quickly made his way towards the exit of the school. A lot of preparation needed to be done.

You awoke with an obnoxious yawn. You stretched your arms above your head then gave a light scratch to your back. After getting up and opening your curtains, you got dressed in your usual, practical attire. You made sure to style your hair in a fashion that had all of it out of your face and slipped on your dirty loafers.

The sun was just starting to rise as you headed downstairs to the family bakery.

Everyday, you would wake up before the sun came up, go down to help bake and clean the bakery before it opened, then head to school. After school, you would usually pick up groceries and head home to help count stock and clean up. Then you'd go to bed and start over again the next day.

That was your life, until you would eventually have your own kids. Then you'd be the one doing most of the baking while they would simply help and go to school.

When you got down into the bakery, your father gave you a friendly wave before going back to kneading the dough on the counter. You smiled at him as you grabbed the broom and dust pan from the storage closet.

You started your usual routine of sweeping the floors, wiping the counters, polishing the windows and the glass coverings of pastry containers, and grabbing finished baked goods and putting them on displays or in their containers.

Once you finished making a pyramid of danishes, you went to open the curtains to the front windows and unlocked the front door.

You dropped the piece of chalk in your hand when you were surprised by a bouquet of flowers being held out in front of you.

Looking past the flowers, you were greeted by Daring's smiling face. "Good evening Mi'lady."

"Uh, hi, Daring. You know it's morning right?" You kneeled down to grab the chalk, but Daring beat you to it.

He gave you another smile and pushed the flowers into your hands before standing up with the chalk, "Oh, tomato tomahto, my dear."

As you stood he bowed a bit and offered you the chalk. You moved the bouquet to one hand and grabbed the chalk with another, "Uh, thanks?" Then you went over to the little chalk board by the front door and started to write down the specials of the day.

"So, what are you doing here? To buy something?"

You finished off the sign with a little doodle of a cupcake. You turned to face the prince after he had failed to respond to you. He was looking at you with a dazed smile on his face. His eyes were slightly glazed over. You waved your hand in front of his face and he shook his head a bit. "Apologies. I'm afraid I didn't catch what you were saying."

"It's fine, or whatever." You went back into the bakery and grabbed an empty vase. Daring followed behind you and watched as you filled it with water before dropping the bouquet inside. "So, any reason for stopping by other than helping liven up the place."

He scratched the back of his head, "Well, I was just wondering if you'd like to- or well, if you'd allow me to escort you to school." He coughed into his hand after he finished his proposal.

"I don't know. I still have a bit to do here." You went to reach for the broom once more before your father's voice spoke out.

"Oh, nonsense, [Y/n]."

"Dad?" You and Daring stared at your father as he emerged from the kitchen. He wiped his hands off onto his apron as he gave Daring a smile.

"It's not every day that a Charming offers such a nice thing to us folk. You can leave early today, and just have fun."

You put the broom back into the closet as you went to grab your bag, "Alright, I guess. If you're sure."

When you turned back, your father was patting Daring's back, "Oh, I'm certain. Have fun you two!" Then he disappeared back into the kitchen.

You slung your bag over your shoulder, "Okay then. So Daring, ready to go."

"Of course, Mi'lady." He held the door open for you. As you started to walk on your usual route to the school, his voice called after you, "Where are you going?"

"What?" You turned around to see him still standing outside the bakery. He motioned for you to come closer before he let out a sharp whistle.

You stood there in confusion for a couple of seconds before a beautiful gold and white carriage pulled over in front of him. It was drawn by four white stallions and the entire thing had blue crystals decorating it. He held the door open for you once again as you finally decided to get inside.

Inside the carriage was a table clothed covered table. You sat on one side and Daring sat across from you. He stuck his hand out the window and slapped the side of the carriage. It started moving, and you were a bit startled at the sudden motion. Then you noticed something, "Um, not to be rude, but I think we're going in the opposite direction."

"Oh, I know," He gave you a sweet smile, "I just thought since we had almost an hour before school started...We could have some fun."
