Wake Up Call

Chapter 8

Lexie got to come home from school with me!

When I got home I saw a car with a big ribbon on the top.

"Who's that for?" Lexie asked.

"Hopefully me!" I said, hopeful.

"Cameron do you know who it's for?" Lexie asked.

"Nope," he had guilt in his eyes and he was biting back a smile.

I got out when the car was successfully parked.

I ran over to the car.

On it was a note that read..

Dear Macy,
I understand you don't have a car so I've decided to get you one. It is you 17th birthday and I love you so, I've hid you presents you will have clues leading you there. Have fun here is you first clue.

Clue 1) i am outdoors, I am tall, I have ring, but not of fire.

I looked over were Cameron was but he was gone.

Lexie shrugged.

"Let's go on the hunt," she said rereading the first clue.

"I think it a tree or something," I said.

"A tree is outside, it is tall, and it has rings to show the age!" She was excited,

"but which tree?"

"I'd assume it's the one big oak one right there," I pointed to it.

We both ran to it and looked at the tree and sure enough another clue.

Clue 2) pizza! Pizza! But where dose it cook?

"Oven!" Lexie yelled pointing her finger in the air.

We ran inside and found the third clue.

Clue 3) green? Way? Your keys are on the drivers seat in your new car.

"Oh my gosh we get to drive my car!" I let out a squeal.

I ran to my car.

It was a Chevy truck.

Just like I always wanted.

Clue 4) keep walking babe.

I kept walking down the path to find a row of flower pedals.

A little ways down I found another clue

Clue 5) okay just look up.

And there he was holding a Bouquet of flowers.

"Hey," he said a with a full ear-to-ear smile.

My mouth flew opening, I went running to him wrapping my arms around his neck.
