So apparently Bryn and me and Lexie are best friends. No offense to Bryn.

"I'm so excited for prom!" Lexie squealed.

"Me too. kian asked me to go with him omg it was so cute!" Bryn said, "Macy are you going with anyone?"

"I assume I'm going with Cameron, then again, he hasn't asked me," I sighed.

"Well that doesn't mean he won't!" Bryn grabbed Lexie's hand and dragged her into class I went to my locker and switched my books to history. My favorite..
I thought to myself sarcastically.

I slung my backpack over my shoulder and as I shut my locker, there he was, not Cameron, not anyone I would care about.

Parker.

"Yes Parker?" I asked rudely.

"So Macy, I was wondering if-"

"I don't care what your wondering," I ran my fingers through my hair.

"-you'd go to prom with me," he finished.

"Um, let's see, no and in case you didn't register that no is spelled n-o and the means no, never, bye, and once again bye," I hugged my books close to my chest and walked as fast as I could.

I sat in the back of the class, as usual, so I could text Lexie.

'So Parker just asked me to prom..😷'

'I assume you said no.' She said.

"Ms.Millard," Mr.Brown said.

"Y-ye-yes Mr.Brown?" I stuttered.

"What is the Capital of Maine?" He asked.

"Uh, um Agusta?" I said half questioning myself and half asking him.

"Correct, what about New York?" He asked.

"That's easy, Albony."

"Wisconsin?"

"Madison."

"California?"

"Sacramento."

"Good," he paused a minute, "I'd like to see you after class."

After what felt like hours of work and writing and other stuff, the bell rang.

"Class dismissed," Mr.Brown said, "Macy."

I packed my stuff in my backpack and went up to his desk.

"Okay," he organized a couple things on his desk then said, "Macy you are a very smart student, I was wondering if you wanted to be in the advanced program."

"I, uh, er, I'll think about it," I didn't know weather or not I should say yes or no.

"Okay well if you decide you want to here is a paper," he handed me a paper labeled 'advanced' I took it and he said, "get it signed by your guardian, and when ever you ready you will have to take a test and then if you get the right grade you in."

"Thank you," I walked out of the classroom.

When I got home I texted Lexie to see if she wanted to come over but she replied with:

'I'm with Bryn we are about to watch if I stay.'

'Oh okay.. I'll see you later then.'

I sat on the couch eating a bag of Doritos.

Then I got a phone call from Cameron.

"Hello?" I asked picking up the phone.

"Hey can you come to the softball field?" He asked.
