Chapter 2: Familiar and Mage

We walked into a familiar store as I looked around wanting to find a familiar which would suit me.But then I heard commotion comming from the back while my parents were distracted with their own conversation I strode past all kinds of creatures remembering what was written on the acceptance letter. Any animal is allowed as a familiar as long as said creature will not harm any student unless that student has offended it or harmed its owner or itself. No wonder there's such a wide range of animals. When I reached the back I noticed two men hovering over a tiny dragon baby who noticed me as soon as I entered. It chirped happily like a bird earning the attention of the two arguing men.
" Lets give it to her." One whispered loud enough for me to hear.
" For free in exchange for secrecy of course." The other agreed.
" Deal." The first one said and plastered a smile on his face.
" Young lady you may have this little "pup" for free as long as you stay quiet about where you found it agreed?" The other asked me smiling brightly. Obviously not a puppy but I'll play ignorance for now.
" Alright Mister. Thank you!" I cried out happily and strode over to the dragon and held my palms up and open side by side. It glanced briefly at them and then it jumped onto my hands rubbing its head against my arms. I grinned and dashed past the two men who had started to whisper to each other thinking I couldn't hear them and to my parents.
" Mother,father! The owner's gave this to me for free!" I say happy. They looked at the dragon in my arms and shrugged.
" Alright that's that then. We'll be late for work so please forgive us for just dropping you off love,but we have to get to work right now." Dad said smiling apologetically.
" It's fine." I looked at the trolley my dad was pushing noticing how full it is. Oh,boy,that's a lot of work. I shook my head and trailed behind them stroking the head of the little dragon in my arms. It had breath taking blue scales which seemed to fade to a light blue.

"Aren't you a pretty handsome fella,huh? Little Blue? OOH! How about it,how does "Blue" sound to you? As a name I mean?" I ask the dragon who tilted its head attentively and gave a slight nod making me grin. What a smart dragon.
" Than its nice to meet you, Blue. I'm Asher and those are my parents. We'll taking care of each other from now on so bare with me if I make any mistakes,okay?" As an answer Blue nudged his head against my chin and purred like a cat. We left Diagon alley and climbed into a fancy carriage  which rode rather smoothly down the streets of Londen. My head nodded along with the rhythm of the bumping carriage and the sound of horse shoes hitting the pavement. It was kind of cool. While Blue seemed to have driffted off asleep on my lap. My parents on the other hand were discussing politics. Wait politics?! I searched through the previous owners memories as my eyes widened in disbelief. Dad is a military advisor of the Queen and Mom,well mom is the Queens strategist. I shook my head and decided to ignore it like the other me.We rode past the borders of Londen and into the forest arriving at a small,ahem,scratch that flipping huge! Estate. Riding past the gate and following a path up to a three story mansion. We slowed down and into a sircle which had a fountain of mythical creatures in the middle.
" Fredrick! Please take my daughter's belongings to her room and make sure she's comfortable!" Dad yelled at the top of his lungs as a man in a butler's uniform rushed over and bowed to my father,mother and then me.
" Yes,sir. I'll see to it immediately. " Fredrick says.He clicked his fingers and armed guards rushed out and took the trolley of equipment out of the back and rushed up the stairs and disapeared into the house while Fredrick helped me down from the carriage. Mother smiled happily.
" Have a nice day,dear. Oh and Fredrick proceeded like normal, cook dinner and so on but if Asher calls answer." My mom says smiling sweetly at Fredrick.
"Of course miss." The butler knelt right there making me uncomfortable. Dad grinned.
" Bye love,enjoy your day. And we might be gone for quite some time so please don't wait for us. Sleep tight." Dad yelled as the carriage took off without his say so while Fredrick kept on kneeling even after the carriage disappeared. Ah right!  I'm supposed to dismiss him.
"Sir.Fredrick please rise. You may continue with what you were busy with before we returned,sir. Of course I'll call if I need anything." I say smiling. Fredrick rises with a smile on his face he nodded and bowed to me before scrambling off. Oh dear, he might fall if this continues. I accessed her memories and smiled weakly,she has the entire third floor to herself. Well I have the entire third floor to meself (note: not a mistake.)and Blue too I guess. I walked up the stairs and entered the froyer. There was a secular table in the middle with dozens of pictures of the entire household including the servants. It seems everyone loves everyone in this house,guess we're all family. I smiled happily and skipped up the stairs while Blue flew happily around me trailing flickering and colourful light all around us as if we were one and the same. I laughed happy and twirled around like a five year old and held my arms open as Blue flew into my arms we reached the entrance to my room as the guards saluted and walked out finished with their tasks. I bowed and smiled brightly at them. As I entered the living and first room of my floor I gasped. The room was painted and themed Blue. Which made me rather happy,and well you could guess how Blue reacted. He was ecstatic. Flying and twirling around the room then he disapeared through  another door to the left,I followed and froze. A library. A very gigantic one at that. I looked up seeing a dome of glass which provided cover and gave the sunlight which is little a chance to brake through and making the room rather warm. In the middle of the room stood a desk with papers and books sorted neatly on top of it,a comfy oak chair with a light blue pillow sat behind it. While behind it is a balcony with what looks like a swing which was attached to a small roof.
"Oh,boy ain't I a little to spoild?" I muttered feeling dizzy. In a corner of the room stood three couches arranged to form a kind of square. Blue sat on top of the books for Hogwards which the guards had placed on the coffee, rather tea table along with the equipment. I shook my head again and strode over.
"This is to much." I say sitting down and covering my face with my hands. Sighing I stretched slightly, Blue chirped to get my attention. I looked at him,a vague feeling passed through me as I lifted my hand to my lips and bit hard at my fourth finger and held it out to Blue. Feeling stupid, but then Blue bit down on my bleeding finger and began to lick it as I flinched. Oh that hurt! Of course it hurts dumb@ss,what did I expect for it to feel like a slight pinch?! I mentally berated myself. Blue leaned into my hand as suddenly:
'Asher. Can you hear me?' Startled I looked around as a voice echoed  through my head. Than I looked at Blue. Was it him?
"Was that you,Blue?" I ask leaning forward.
'Yes,it was. I am now your familiar. The contract between a Mage and familair has been finalized so I belong to you now and share my spells and elements with you.' Blue answered,I stared stunned. I'm a Mage? Not a witch? But how is that possible there's no such thing as a Mage in this world?
'That is because mages are rare and always unique and hard to distinguish. They can cast with or without magical equipment or wands. They can or can not see the spirits of magic and they should and always will do a blood contract like the one you and I did just now. Which means if you die I die,but If I die than I die alone. Don't give me that I didn't choose this rule and plus you and I were meant to meet so of course I'm fine with this. Plus being your partner will be awesome I'm sure.' Blue said giving a very long winded speech.Rare and unique,oki-doki I guess. I shrugged and smiled.
" Than I'm glad that I have a dragon as my partner. Please move. I'd like to start studying before the 1'st of September." Blue happily moved away and settled in my lap as I took out a spell book that gave the basics off. My birthday is on the same date how convenient. I paged through the book and began to read and study through them slowly.
