I saw the scar of a year that lay dying
I heard the lament of peasants from a hill
I know it is against Gods will
This is reality but we keep denying.

As the rain fall heavily
I feel the spirit of God in the clear running
waters
Our part of existence is out there, we know it
certainly
But everything seems to be faster.

At night they lay under the bridges
They embrace the cold winds
We drink cold water from our fridges
Still the Almighty protects them with his wings.

We keep the spell of home affection
But they are still safe in every careless hours
Though they were given no direction
They still break temptations fatal power.

In the park, they all assemble there
Labouring day by day
Without love but faith and fear
For this rest upon their way.

Oh who will anoint and cheer their soiled face
With only but just a home
But with the abundance of Gods grace
They will overcome.

But we all live in love
Through sleep and darkness safely brought
Our wakening and way of living prove
But no one seems to have them in thought.

In riches and all treasures of life our leaders
dwell
With new cars each turning day
About the peasants nobody will tell
Friends come around while we pray.
