Damian was at the Kent family's apartment in Metropolis city- all the way on the top floor. Jon found Damian sitting perched up on the ledge, just brooding in general.

"I brought you some hot chocolate." Jon said, levitating over the open hatch. Damian turned around and thanked Jon for the warm drink, which he kept between his hands.

It was a Tuesday. The Kent family and Damian had just had dinner. Being December, the sky was dark early and the wind on the roof was fierce.

"What'cha thinking?" Jon asked, sipping his drink before realizing it was too hot.

"I want to go out on patrol."

Jon caught himself on the roof below, spilling some of his hot chocolate over the side. He had to work on his landings.

"I know." Jon sighed. "But it's a school night."

Damian turned around and gestured for Jon to take a seat next to him, watching the busy streets below. "But look at it. It's Super territory. Don't you want to defend it?"

Jon shrugged. "Sure, I guess, but dad's been handling it for a long time. I'm not as helpful to my dad like you are to yours. I was never really-"

"Trained." Damian answered. He looked solemn. "Cherish your childhood."

Jon nodded. "But you should too. You're only 13."

"I had to grow up quickly. I don't have a childhood."

Jon laughed. "You take things too seriously." He stood up. "Let's go inside. It's freezing out here and you don't have a jacket."

Damian stood reluctantly and handed his mug to Jon who didn't need his hands free to climb down the ladder back to the Kent's house.

Jon levitated down the shaft and Damian closed the roof access hatch above him before dropping down to the floor. Jon tried to land gently, which he did, luckily, as he was holding now two hot beverages.

Damian took back his mug. He followed behind Jon. "It's supposed to snow tomorrow."

"I know." Jon beamed. "I'm so excited!"

"So if we have a snow day... that means that tonight's not a school night and-"

"Nope." Mrs. Kent said from the kitchen. She set down the dish she had just dried.

"How does she even hear that?"

Jon laughed. "She hears everything."

They sat down on the sofa in the living room and Jon opened his laptop. He showed Damian a bunch of photos from when he was younger.

A call appeared on the screen. It was from a Miss Rey James.

"Rey's calling!" Jon smiled.

"Are you going to pick up-"

"Hi Rey!"

Damian sighed. Guess they were talking.

"Have you seen the snow outside?" She asked. "If it keeps falling we can have a snow day!"

"I know." Jon replied. "And since I'm not living on a farm anymore, I don't have to shovel any snow!"

A voice came on from the other side of Rey's room. "Who are you talking to now? It's almost dinner time."

"It's Jon and that short guy."

Damian frowned. "The name is Damian."

Rey turned around. "The short guy is Damian."
