It was a Saturday morning and Damian was at the Kent apartment on the roof, watching over the streets as the sun was going to begin its rising above the horizon. Jon climbed up the ladder and opened the skylight hatch.

"Hey." Jon said.

Damian was in his pajamas but wearing a jacket for once. Damian turned around. "Hey."

"Whatcha doing?" Jon asked. "You know it's 6 in the morning, right?"

Damian stood up. "Just thinking. This is when I usually get up. I needed some fresh air. "

"Yeah, I get that." Jon said. "It's suffocating being in an apartment after having so much space- makes me miss the farm." He said, sadly.

"I like the apartment." Damian said. "You should see Grayson's apartment. It is comically small. I stay there sometimes."

"I overheard my Dad last night." Jon said. "We're going out with you and your dad."

"As vigilantes?"

"No." Jon said, shaking his head. "Just spending time together. I don't think I was supposed to hear it though so pretend to be surprised."

Damian turned around and sat on the ledge. "What? Why would we just 'spend time together'?"

Jon shrugged. "I think it's time you learn how to have fun."

"I have fun." Damian muttered. He looked at Jon. "Fighting is fun."

Jon sighed. "D, why don't we just get some breakfast."

"Do you have sugary cereal?" Damian asked, innocently. "Alfred never buys any."

Jon laughed. "Yeah, we have Frosted Flakes. You know, the blue box with the tiger."

Damian almost smiled. "Sounds adequate."

They ate a bowl of cereal each and then watched cartoons on the TV in the living room. Saturday morning cartoons were the best.

"Hey." Mrs. Kent said, looking at the boys. "Good morning."

"'morning mom." Jon said, turning around to look at his mother.

"Good morning, Mrs. Kent." Damian politely greeted.

"You two are up early." She noted. It was about 6:45. "Jon usually sleeps in. It's nice to see you awake."

Jon shrugged. "D gets up at 6."

She turned to the sink and put the bowls in the dishwasher. "Jon." She said. "You know to put your dishes in the dishwasher."

Jon looked at Damian and shrugged. "Sorry." He said to his mother.

Clark walked down the hall and buttoned the button on his polo shirt.

"Damian, your dad is coming soon."

Right- act surprised. "Really? Why? I thought I wasn't going home until Monday evening."

Clark looked happy. "You'll see."

Damian shrugged and turned around to watch the TV again.

True to his word, there was a knock on the front door. Jon looked over at the door.

"It's your dad. I can see him with x-ray vision."

"I figured." Damian said, getting up off of the couch to open the door. Jon stood up and looked for his parents. Clark was coming down the hallway.

Damian opened the front door. "Hello, father." He greeted, stepping aside.

Jon was staring at the ceiling. "Dad, how do I turn off x-ray vision?!"
