"Eddie, I'm sorry!" Richie pleaded as he peddled faster on his bike to catch up with his fuming, crying boyfriend. The freckled brunette's bike came to a quick, sudden stop, and his tires screeched. Richie pulled up next to him.

"No, Richie. You said you wouldn't do the kissing dares anymore." Eddie reminded him, losing hope that Richie would hold firm to any more of his promises.

"When?"

Eddie stared blankly at his lanky boyfriend for a good moment. His jaw was hanging slack by less than an inch, and he was beyond done with Richie in that time.

"Seriously?" he shook his head in disbelief, "I seriously cannot with you right now." he walked next to his bike in a rush to get away from Richie, but the boy just jabbed his glasses up the bridge of his crooked nose and followed.

He didn't know what to say. Arguments were unique occasions in their relationship, and since Richie has scarcely had any experience with a furious Eddie, he didn't know how to respond to the boy's flaring emotions.

The heavily chilly breeze in the autumn air turned the tip of Eddie's rounded nose pink. The coldness made him shudder with vulnerability, which had Eddie subconsciously allowing a few tear droplets to slide down his soft, flushed cheek. When he noticed his nearing breakdown, he walked faster ahead of Richie.

"Eddie, slow down." Richie called out, becoming tired of having to chase the skittish, fuming teenager down the dimly lit street in the middle of the night.

"No." spat the stubborn boy without even turning back to look.

Richie dropped his bike handles, letting the bike tumble to the ground. It clashed, and the sound of a rusty, rattling chain filled the ears of the two distraught lovers. He ran up behind Eddie and spun his fragile body around by gripping his shoulder and pulling with a light force.

He wrecked his lips into Eddie's chilling, purple ones, feeling bad for how cold they felt up against his own. His lanky arms clasped Eddie by the waist and tugged him closer so their chests pressed against each other. Desperate to become warm, Eddie let himself melt into Richie's body heat after he made the decision to cradle the taller boy's face in his trembling hands. They felt frost bitten against Richie's cheeks.

When they pulled apart, Eddie blinked and stayed huddled close to his boy. Richie's arms felt too good around his freezing body. His anger was still existing, but for the moment it was pushed into the back of his mind.

He sniffled, "don't ever kiss him again."

Richie wiped a stray tear from Eddie's pretty face with the surprisingly soft pad of his thumb. "Wouldn't dream of it." he assured with a kind smile.

There was a long pause before Eddie decided to speak up again. "I think you broke your bike."

Richie shrugged and laughed lightly at his own stupidity as he stared lovingly down into the warm depths of Eddie's eyes. "It's alright. I can get it fixed."

The brunette smiled warmly and placed his tousled head of hair back under his boyfriend's chin, and they swayed in comfortable silence.
