My eyes were peeled open by the bed violently shaking. Macy was jumping on my bed again. She had her back turned to me and I could see her little curls bouncing along with her. I quickly grab her stomach and fling her onto the bed. She looked at me wide-eyed as I had her pinned to the bed. I figured it was time for payback for waking me up. I begin to tickle her. Macy starts laughing so hard she can hardly breath. Her face begins turning red as she tries to swat my hands away from her tummy. Finally I let her go and she begun trying to catch her breath. Macy hops off my bed and begins to wildly wake Elizabeth up. she rolls over and wipes her sleepy eyes. I smile at her as I watch experience the same pain who woke me up.
Sleep walking my way out of bed, I make my way into the bathroom. My lose curls were now a tangled mess. I throw a toothbrush in my mouth and walk back into the bedroom. I see Macy shaking Elizabeth and dragging her out of bed. I peer into my closet. The clothes I had bought last week nicely hung in my closet. I grab a pair of dark shorts, a baggy, lacey, turquoise tank top, and matching pair of black underwear and bra, and I head into the bathroom to take a shower.
The warm water ran down my back as I try to get the tangles out of my hair. I grab the blossom spelling body wash and wash down my body. I grab more soap and begin to shave my legs to a smooth surface. I run my hand over my leg checking for any missing spots as the warm water glides over my skin. Deciding that I was done, I turn off the shower and reach for a towel.
Moments later I was dressed and drying my hair with a towel. Its was finally the day I'd been waiting for all week. Today was just another Tuesday, but it wasn't an ordinary Tuesday. Today was the day Brandon and I were gonna hang out. It was only 8:08 am. Brandon and I had never set a specific time for today so I had to wait around til he showed up.
I head up the stairs to the kitchen. Sophia, Daniel and Travis were sitting at the kitchen table. I pull out a chair and sit besides Travis. Sophia who sat cross the table pushed the box of cereal over at me. I watch her sign at me, "B-r-a-n-d-o-n + come+ when?" I smile watching her try to communicate with me. I didn't really care how slow she had signed it, she had tried, and that was the important part. I start to reply, but then I see my aunt come in the room. Knowing how much she hates the use of sign language. I just shrug at Sophia. Sophia nods her heads back at me.
The reason for my aunt hating sign language didn't make very much sense. My aunt was my dads sister. She was the younger one out of the two of them. Her mother, my grandmother, was hard-of-hearing and her father, my grandfather, was deaf. My aunt grew up signing. She was the only hearing child because of the way genetics worked. But she hated sign language. Something over the course of her life time must have influenced this hatrid, I just couldn't figure out what.
Finally, I watch as Brandon pulls up in a jeep. I go skipping out to his car and hop in. I wanted to ask where we were going, but he was back on the road before I had a moment to ask. He looks over at me and smiles. The car begins vibrating from the music. How loud do people in this town play their music? I ask myself.
We continue down the road tell he turns into a small parking lot. In front of where the car was parked, was a large grass area and trees that bordered the small park. In the middle of the small park there was a gazebo. I look around the park and saw no one around. We get out of the car and I grab my purse and notebook. Brandon sees the notebook in my hand. Carefully he pries it out of my fingers and flings it back into the car. Angrily I snap at him "That+ you+ do+ why+ finish."
Brandon gazes into my eyes and says " I want to ___ and communicate with you, without the help of a pad of paper." I grin back at him. "Here. Close your eyes." Looking like a deer in headlights, I shake my head from side-to-side. His warm hand grips mine. "Close you eyes" he says to me. Giving in I close my eyes. I could feel him leading me towards something. I had no idea what, cause I didn't have the use of two of my senses at the moment.
