Laughter fills the autumn air,
and I'm surrounded, once more
with smiling faces
and outstretched arms.the genuine warmth
makes me want to cry.I'm welcomed into a flurry of chatter,
hugs and smiles,
and my heart feels happy again.For the first time in years,
I feel like a normal girl.
