A flow of emotions hit me at the sight of him. His eyes are a dark red with pin drop pupils. They're different from when we were in the Past and his eyes were a milky white. He wasn't himself. This....means something else is involved with our Fate. That's not the point at hand. We eliminated the problem in front of us, which gives us time to investigate the problems underneath later on. The souls around us gives the air a somber feeling. I side eye Olivia in annoyance, which she returns with a sigh. "Yeah, yeah. I know. I already feel bad about leaving them here by accident. I can just make them invisible so you won't have to look at them at least." She whistles a long high-pitched note and all of the souls disappear from sight.
Micro stops clapping and the room is silent. It's a loud, deafening silence that made my ears burn. I don't think that's the true reason why my ears feel hot. It's because of him. Daniel is in front of me, alive and well. He's right in front of me, leaning against the crumbling wall without a care in the world. I'm deep in thought when I realize nothing's moving. Dominique's ashes that were blowing, were frozen in mid air. I walk up to Micro and he doesn't blink or register my movements. I look around to see that Daniel isn't where he was before. Before I can react, I feel a wall behind me and arms around my waist. I look up to see Daniel's eyes filled with emotion locked with mine. Tears begin to well up and I try to look away but he catches my chin.
"I know you're confused as fuck right now. You have every right to be. I'll explain everything to you later. I was being controlled by someone from the outside. It wasn't me who attacked you guys and threw you all forward into the Future. We can talk more about it once we're back in a safe place. I did find out some information from Micro over there. I want to know one thing." He grabs my chin and gets closer to my face. "Are you okay?" I nod my head and he pushes his lips on to mine. They're warm and softer than I could ever imagine. He bites my lip and I gasp. He takes advantage of this and thrusts his tongue inside, our tongues fighting for dominance. In the end, he wins and my knees almost give out. Waves of emotion hits me like lust, greed, sadness, and joy. I missed this. When he pulled away, my lips feel the cold breeze and everything's moving again.
"Ewwww, the lovebirds are together again. You know what they gone do when he gets settled right?" Olivia makes a vulgar gesture with her hands and I return it with a gesture of my own. I roll my eyes and I walk back to Micro and Belle, who are arguing. "I'm stronger than you and you're my descendant, so you have to listen to me. I'm the one who made you the spell-caster you are now. Tell me how you got him here." He pushes her face and switches his attention on to me. "Anyways, I'll give you an explanation when we are all settled and with your descendants. Daniel and Celene, the power couple. You two are one of the last Royal Vampire families that is surviving with your child and your granddaughter still alive. The other one is obviously Jannelle's family, except her family is weakened due to human blood mixing with pureblood."
Jannelle is beside me in an instant. "Me...with a human? Oh, I don't think so. I keep our bloodline clean, so maybe it changed with Celene's Fate." She says this with no doubt in her voice. You always have to show her before she'll believe it. Shaking my head, I grab Daniel's hand and he squeezes mine in return. He says, "Can we get back to where you're residing? It's getting boring and I'm trying to catch up with my baby. Also, I want to see my future granddaughter and her friends when I still can." I smile at how he addresses me. Baby.....I miss that too. Belle smiles and says, "Awww, you two are so cute! Power Couple?" Olivia nods frantically. I roll my eyes as my ears began to burn in embarrassment. "Let's get back home."
We walk in the house through the front door. I twist through the long hallways and rooms to get to main living room. When we get there, our descendants are sitting down around the circular couch. Artemis and Lexi are deep in conversation while Celeste, Hera, and Trix are flipping through volumes in search for something. I clear my throat and all of their eyes land upon us. Most of them are on Daniel, confused or ready to defend themselves. Daniel just stands there like a stone statue, as if their stares weren't bothering him. The only reason why I knew that they were bothering him is that he was gripping my hand hard. Celeste closes the volume and looks him up and down. She crosses her arms with her lips pursed. "Who are you and why did they let you in here without a ticket?" She gives me an ugly look.
"I wouldn't question them if they're who you say they are, " Lexi says this, cautiously walking up with her hands in front of her. Celeste ignores her and says, "Well, are you going to answer question?" I fold my arms and copy all of her faces. "I don't have to answer to anyone. Sorry, but that's not in my DNA to just say sorry for no reason. I only apologize for those I've wronged." Celeste is taken aback but she starts over. She smiles, "Can you tell me who this man is? He emits such a strong magical energy. We need him. I'm not going to use him for our personal gain."
"Well, this is Daniel Tayes, my soon-to-be husband. Artemis, this is your grandfather. Your mother's daddy."
