Celene's POV
You can see the resemblance between us. We share the same eye color and skin tone. Our eyes are almond shape and our cheeks are big. They say I look more like her every time I age. Quite frankly, I don't want to look like her, because others would automatically think that I am her or just like her. One of the things I aspire to be is not to be Ambrosina. They call her the "Dark Empress." Everything she does has a deeper, darker meaning to it. She's not to be trusted.
"Oh, why the long face Celene? Are you not happy to see your mother, the one who works hard so you can have whatever you want? If I didn't have a brain, I'd think you hate me?" She smirks at me with a knowing look. I stay silent. I need not to talk to bitches like her. I hear several thumps from behind me. I can smell Daniel's scent behind me, along with Belle and our Descendants. "Oh, look at my little Belle, the little witch, and Olivia, access to two worlds. I always thought you two would be something special. Janelle, ar-" I interrupt her before she could start her little fake speech of compliments. "Why the fuck are you here? I know you want something or you're here to tie us in to one of your plans. Get on with it, so I can hurry up and say no." The air around us grows cold. Her eyes narrow and her smirk turns into a straight face. I know she doesn't appreciate being interrupted. She hates being interrupted like a passion. I watch as her fingers twitch. Ambrosina takes a step towards me.
I hear clangs of metal and material in response. They've drawn their weapons. I hear steps come up from behind me and I smell Jannelle beside me. We bump hands and my eyes still haven't left Ambrosina. She's the type to sneak attack with one quick look at something and is incredibly fast. She continues to walk until she's three feet in front of me. The smell of blood hits me, as if she just came from an intense battle. "Lower your weapons, all of you. I'm not here to fight, I'm just curious. Why is my daughter here, in the Future? Why are any of you here now?" I smile and ask, "Why are you so curious? You expected me to be dead at this time? Or are you about to cause something in the Past? What could you possibly want to do with this information or discovery?" Ambrosina gives us a mischievous smile. "Well, I am aware that you're supposed to be dead. The Time we come from, you turn up dead leaving your child and Daniel by themselves. Now, what I'm going to do with you being alive now? I get to remain as the Empress." The anger inside me is almost so powerful, I can't control it. I breathe slowly before I say, "So, you knew about this and yet you did nothing about it? I would say I'm surprised...but I'm not."
Ambrosina blinks a few times and she bursts out in maniacal laughter. Tears flow out of clenched lids and she's hunched over. Finally, she straightens her back and composes herself and smiles at me. Her rose red eyes are latched to mine and her pupils are almost not there. She says," Knew about it? Sorry to burst your little bubble, but I'm the one who made it happen? I can't let you become Empress." I smile back at her and in a millisecond, I have my Rose of Death pointed at her throat.
