𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐀; 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐲

hold me tight or don't

“you know, i still have no idea where we’re going right?” i spoke up from the passenger seat of the car.

“yeah, i know” he replied, eyes on the road

“and you don’t think you should tell me?”

he looks over at me smiling before turning his attention back to the road, before speaking again “no. and plus it’s a surprise”

“okay, stevie whatever you say,” i tell him, before going quite again letting my thoughts take back over.

‘where on earth would he be taking us, that would be a surprises?.. most likely some place he found and thought i would like it there, or just some place we’ve went to before and haven’t been there in a while, i could honestly be anything’ i think to myself staring out of my window watching the trees pass by as we drive across the road.

i was startled out of my thoughts as steve spoke up again “you okay buck?”

“yeah, i’m fine stevie, why”

“you just look upset, didn’t think you were alright”

“yeah i’m fine steve, just thinking”

“about what?”

‘you don’t wanna know’ i think “it’s nothing”

“you sure it’s nothing, you know you can talk to me right?”

‘not about this i can’t’  “yeah i know, and it’s okay really”

“okay buck, if it was anything you would talk to me about wouldn’t you right?”

“yeah stevie, i tell you everything don’t i?”  i tell him smiling ‘except how you feel about’

“yeah i guess you’re right” looking over at me before looking back towards the road “and we’re almost there, just thought you should know”

“you tired of sitting in a car with me?”

“of course not” he laughs “just thought you would want to know, because you’re the one tired of sitting in the car”

“i actually find the drive peaceful, it’s good to know we’re almost there” i tell him

“well i hope so, i really hope you’re going to like this place, i think you will honestly” he says sounding nervous

‘why would he sound nervous? of course i’m going to like’ i think to myself.

“of course i’m going  to like it stevie, whatever it may be i’m sure i will

“okay bucky”

the car came to a stop, steve stopping in an open grassy field and what looks like a small cliff going off the edge

“why are we here?”

“eh” steve shrugs “guess i just wanted to show you this place, ya know?”

“yeah i guess”

“now” steve grabs bucky’s hand leading him to the little cliff edge “come on”

i let him drag me to where he wanted to go “where’d you find this place anyway?” i asked as we stop near the cliff

“being stupid” he laughed

“i don’t doubt it, you tend to do that a lot”

he pouts at me his lighting up

‘oh how i want to kiss that pout from his face’

“it’s peaceful out here, and i bet it’s beautiful at night the stars in the sky where you can actually see them, nothing like the city.. i should bring you star gazing out here sometime, i know how you like that stars but never get to see them”

he doesn’t know if steve was talking to him, or just stating it to himself, but steve looks over at him smiling that light still in his eyes, god bucky loved that look

bucky quikly looked away before speaking “yeah.. i’d like that, i’d like that a lot”

steve grinned ear to ear “okay, tomorrow night okay?”

w-what” i asked dumbfounded

he  chuckles before speaking again “can i bring you stargazing tomorrow night?”

he looks up at steve nodding “yes” bucky smiles

“yes!.. i mean great, i’m glad”

“yeah me too” bucky states as steves takes his hand leading him back to the car

“come on, let’s go to the house, get lunch and get ready for tomorrow, yeah?”

“yeah let’s go”

they got into steve’s car and he started driving home in a comfortable silence .

when they arrived home, they got out of the car walking up the steps to steve’s house, steve twists the knob opening the door

“after you, sir” he grins

“why thank you” i say while making a bowing gesture before walking in steve following behind closing the door behind him

they walk into the house further and into the kitchen, “so whaddya want to eat” steve ask hims

“whatever you want is find with me”

“pizza, and smoothies then?”

“yeah, sounds good”

so steve got started making the pizza putting it into the the oven and starting on the smoothies, putting everything he needed into a blender and blending it, once he’s done he got two glasses and poured the ccontent into them, sliding one of the cups to bucky.

“thank you stevie” bucky says, taking a sip of his drink

“no problem, buck” taking a drink of his own, the oven suddleny beeped signling that their pizza was done, steve got the pizza out of the oven to let it cool. onced cooled steve cut the pizza taking two peices and putting them on plants, then handed one over to his friend.

“again, thank you”

“it’s not a problem” steve replies taking a bite of his pizza

“you like it” steve ask refrening to the pizza

“yeah, s’good” taking another bite of his pizza.

once they finished their pizza, they headed upstairs to steve’s when they got there they went in sitting on steve’s bed

“so you actually taking me stargazing?”

“yep, and you can’t back out of it now, it’s been done”

“oh but i wouldn’t dream of it stevie”

“good” he smiles

they talk until it got late and bucky had to get going saying their goodbyes to one another, bucky left, on his way home.
