Imagine helping Ivar after he kills Sigurd...
Kattegat seemed quieter than usual. The hall where everyone went and laughed was now empty, and the famous brothers nowhere to be seen. Or, at least one of them.
As the people prepared gifts, and offered their support for the loss of the second youngest Ragnarsson, Ivar brother killer, as some people were calling him was no where to be found.
You searched the most likely places where the young prince could be, but to no avail.
It was later in the day, the sun starting to retreat, when your good friend Floki bumped into you.
"Sorry Floki." You smiled apologetically at the man.
"It is alright, I came to show you where he is." Floki whispered the last part.
You followed the lanky man back to the familiar shores near his home. A boat lay on the sand half built.
"Here you go." He said and walked up the path to his home.
Ivar sat under the base of the boat, shoulders were slumped and eyes trained on the sand.
"Ivar." You said when he still hadn't noticed your arrival.
His eyes looked red and puffy, like he had been crying a lot recently.
"How'd you find me." He asked, avoiding eye contact.
"Floki showed me." I you plopped down onto the damp sand next to him.
It was silent for a long time, the sound of birds and the ocean were the only thing you could hear. It wasn't awkward though.
When the sun began to pass the trees over top of the hill, is when Ivar spoke.
"I didn't want to kill him, I- I just get angry. Sometimes I scare myself."
"I know you didn't want to." You sighed, pulling his head into you lap as he lay down.
"Sigurd is probably playing the Ute with Ragnar, eating dinner as well." You were brushing through his hair as he closed his eyes.
"I hope so."
