Chapter 2 •

Loud voices reached my ears and a strange smell hit my senses. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of people in the room. Everything was grey in here, except our uniforms. Some lights were broken so the lightning was dark in the far corner of the room. I could already make out the groups and the gangs. Officer Logan pushed me gently forward, making my stomach burn uncomfortably as I was led inside the cafeteria. The two guards by my sides didn't say anything, Logan following us from behind.

My eyes scanned everything in this room. From the hair tie around one prisoner's ponytail to the dirty stain of food in the corner next to a chair. I seemed to pass uninterested by the other prisoners as they were all too busy eating, gossiping or planning how to get drugs in this hell hole. My eyes locked on caramel brown ones, a guy with tattoos and black hair pushed up into a quiff, a flawless, skinny face with amazing bone structure. He seemed cold and rude, his gaze not soft at all. He looked away and focused back on the conversation with his blonde, blue eyed friend.

There were some very muscular tattooed guys in the other side of the room, looking very suspicious and dangerous. I could tell, they were mafia members who are making plans on how to escape this. I chuckled at the stupid idea. We’re in the most strict, A class secured prison and no one has ever escaped this place. Funny of themselves to think they can do the impossible.

And then I'm the crazy bitch in here.

Walking further into the room by force, since my legs didn't seem to collaborate with my brain, I saw the women section, which was obviously smaller since more criminals in here were men. Most of them were black women with cool hairstyles I was so fond of but in general, none of these women looked friendly at all. I was surprised none of them tattoos like I have. If you saw them cross the street in a normal day, you wouldn't have thought that they are criminals. I, on the other hand, look exactly like a woman that would murder someone.

Tattoos are not always attractive to everyone. I have a lot, full sleeve on my left arm, some on my neck, hands, thighs and face. I loved the ink on my skin, it's just art to me. Kayn also said I look like a master piece naked. An ugly smile formed on my lips at the memory.

I was led to an empty table and pushed to sit down by myself. Anxiety took over me, making my legs shake. I haven't been in a room with so many people for four years, it was hard to feel comfortable. Logan sat down across from me, looking bored and unfazed, but there was undoubtedly stress swimming into his green eyes.

He didn't trust me on this.

The one guard stood behind me while the other went to grab a tray for me. I frowned as I watched him pick up food for me, confused as to why he is doing it for me. I turned to Logan, to find him looking around the room suspiciously. The bitterness in his face was clear, he hates to be in here.

Fuck, I do too. Not really, it's not that bad actually.

“Why is he getting my food?” I asked, frustrated. I was supposed to eat in here like a normal prisoner and yet I still have little minions doing all the job for me. How normal.

Logan locked eyes with me, entwining his hands on the table. “You're wearing a million dollar ring, that you won't ever accept to take off, so the moment one these people look at your hand, they'll cut it off.” he explained to me lowly, nodding towards my hands.

I looked down at the wedding ring I refused to take off when I came in here. It took 6 guys to keep me down as I was going absolutely mental on each one of them. I stabbed the four of them and sent another to the hospital because I had cut accidentally his arteries with a knife. I wasn't going to let them take away the only precious thing I have. A grin formed on my lips as I admired the shining diamond at the top of the halo, decorated with smaller diamonds. Kayn had a great fucking taste in jewelries. He had picked me the most pretty one.
