~•~ Chapter 61 ~•~

I have never felt more alive than the moment I sped down the highway, knowing I have Harry running after me through another road, furious, flaming up in his driver seat that his precious diamonds are accompanying me. Through my chest, a loud, reckless laugh came, making my cheeks hurt from the wide grin spread over my lips. We are so the same. Oh yes, Harry, we definitely are. The sense of danger and adrenaline had me feeling amazing, to the point I could actually enjoy how fast as I driving and how terrible the consequences will be if Harry ever catches me.

Pretty pretty pretty.

My phone rang again, another unknown number. "Ooh, I wonder who that could be," I giggled, pressing my finger on the screen to answer the call. "Hellooo?" I sang in a mocking tone, laughing right after.

"You are destroying everything!" Harry's angry voice came through like a scream, making me laugh harder. "You're going the wrong way you stupid!"

"Won't you follow me, darling?" I mused, unable to control my laughter.

"Rosalia Venus, you are signing a death wish right now, the cops are all over-,"

Before he could finish the sentence, I saw a police block 30 meters ahead, the sight of the police cars having me jumping in my seat at the unexpected surprise, my palms gripping tighter the wheel. "Yep, just saw them." I said, my foot slightly raising from the pedal, pondering if I should stop and act normal or go through them.

"Turn around right now!" He yelled, making me laugh at the amount of fury his body possessed.

"Bye Harry." I said and ended the call, laughing as I imagined him throwing his phone out of the window in annoyance.

Pressing hard on the gas, I knew this is my time to go through it all on my own, to experience everything to its highest level possible, to experience freedom through danger, just like when Harry and I were being chased by the cops. That blissfull feeling of nirvana, that's what I'm craving for. I can only feel it when I cross the line, when I outrun my chances of safety. I want that.

"Pretty, pretty, pretty," I sang, getting closer to the cops, who raised their hands for me to stop. "Kiss so soft, lips so wrong, you deserve to go down," I neared the cops, seeing their frightened eyes as they realized that I'm not slowing down, bullets coming my way now. "Low."

I heard the engine roar as I went full speed, feeling the air whizzle through the car, my heart pounding ever so loud that I thought it would explode. Bullets cracked my windows, the sound of them sinking into the metal of the car making everything ten times more terrifying. The large SUV pushed the police cars out of the road, the window by my arm shattering to pieces, making me raise hand to protect my face. When I lifted my head, I was more than grateful for the empty road ahead. Freedom is not that far away. The cops got in their cars and came after me, making me laugh at the distance I had gained. Harry kept calling me but I had no time to yell with him, running away from the cops was a fun activity I should have as a hobby.

The red and blue lights moved in sync behind me, the familiar sirens being our background sound. My eyes widened at the beauty of the lake I drove by, the moonlight kissing softly the waters, the moon shining beautifully in the sky. "Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty." I sang, taking swift glances at the breath taking view.

Out of the corner of my eye from the left, I saw a bright light flashing by the dark figures of the trees as it moved, my smirk widening as I realized that I have company. Never slowing down on the speed, I drove past the black Lambo that appeared through the small path of the woods, my eyes connecting to flamed up green ones for a few good seconds that felt like they passed in slow motion. I did notice the adoration in his eye, the twich of the corner of his lip as he fought the smirk from appearing.
