~•~ Chapter 59 ~•~
It was in that moment that I knew for a fact that the Harry that confessed his love for me yesterday was no longer here. There was no sincere, pure emotion in those evil eyes. He was determined to feel anything dark and sinister against me, his fists clenched tightly by his sides as if he is struggling to control himself from hurting me physically. I momentarily glanced at the case under the desk, where I hid a gun. I slowly got up to my feet, feeling like a pray trying to move away from the hunter. He was watching my every movement carefully, scanning me deeply.
"What happened?" I asked slowly, trying to ease the tension he brought into the room the moment he slammed the door shut behind him.
"You lied to me." his voice cracked, betraying the hurt he is trying to hide under the solid mask he wore. "You fucking lied to me and you had the audacity to act like you're the victim!" he yelled, pointing at me.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I snapped, giving him a bewildered look, holding my ground.
Don't let him break you.
"How come you never told me you had a brother, who just happens to be Crow?" he growled, ticking his head to the side sarcastically.
Fuck.
I opened my mouth to speak but closed it again, picking wisely and carefully my words before I ruin everything on the spot. He is too furious to think logically, one wrong word and my head is going to get blown off before I know it. Seeing him so pressed and weighened down with emotions, I knew he is one inch before snapping. Despite having a strong face on, I felt an ache tear open inside my chest, burning me completely.
"Harry, I didn't know who it was, I have to see my brothers for years, he left me." I answered coolly, trying to sound convincing.
"Bull." he spat, eyes still flamed up.
"I didn't know it was James, for God's sake." I lied, pretending to be desperate as I moved back and forth in the room, staring at him the whole time. "He never revealed himself, how could I know that it was him? We haven't spoken in years!" I claimed.
"He recognised you though. He tried to hide any information betraying your relations, it's crazy how good of a hacker he is, stupid bastard thought I would never find out his past." he laughed humorlessly, shaking his head. "I have read every piece of paper about your life, Rosalia, I know everything about you." he muttered in a very sad tone that almost had my knees weak.
"Then you would know I wouldn't lie to you."
He stood silent for a few seconds, reading through me, eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Don't try to get to my feelings, Rosie, it won't work."
"I am not trying anything, you are blinded by your madness to actually realize who is standing in front of you right now." I spat, the urge to spit straight in his face almost making me lose my temper.
Don't let him break you.
"You lied to me, Rosie. You can't take back what you did." he grumbled, moving closer.
Instictively, I moved away. He sensed my fear, the smirk of the Devil stretching over his lips that taste like heaven. I felt the lump in my throat burn me, the tears stinging the back of my eyes.
"You won't hurt me."
"You did hurt me, though." He pointed out, voice cool, smirk still mocking me. "Why wouldn't I?"
"You said you love me, you liar..." I muttered, my voice thick with emotion. For a moment yesterday I did feel like a part of him could actually feel something as pure and sincere as love, guess I was wrong all this time for believing in this monster.
