9) Practice

3rd POV

''One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and pause.'' Instructed Nagi as he and Melony dance together. ''Next steps.'' Watching by the wall is the full members of STARISH and HEAVENS watching the two youngest practicing for the World Idol Tournament. 

''Melony is getting better at dancing, but she is still lacking timing.'' Commended Masato as Melony try to follow Nagi's steps. 

''But she is learning quick. If she continue like this will she make it before the dancing contest next Saturday.'' Says Kira to Masato.

''And, she quickly learned the dance for her song at the Halloween party.'' Chirp up Natsuki, not looking away from the two. ''She will learn the dance in no time.''

''But, to the party was it only a small group to watch her.'' Point out Ren, getting some looks. ''In the contest, will she be dancing in front of thousands of people. And in the WIT, millions.''

''Then we can maybe teach her some tricks to get over her stage fright.'' Suggest Syo, remembering his hard time doing some recording for his first movie geek with Ryuya.

''What are you doing?'' The group shut up and see Nagi has fallen to the ground, while Melony have hands over her mouth. ''You where supposed to pull you leg together, then move them over mine with out hitting my legs.'' Says Nagi and stand up from falling after Melony accidentally made him trip. 

''Sorry.'' Muttered Melony sad and look down. Tokiya step up to help Melony.

''Then try this Melony. Repeat that simple step over and over until you get it, then add the next step into it.'' Helped Tokiya and take Melony's left leg. He move it a little to the front, then to the side, then back to her other leg and out with that one, like dribbling a ball.

''So like this?'' Ask Melony and do the step without Tokiya's help. 

''Yes, so try do it one more time with Nagi.'' Melony nodded and look at Nagi. He nodded and went into position. The two did it again, changing who has their leg at front, and they are doing it in sync.

''Now you got that correct, let's take it from the top, then stop for today.'' Suggested Nagi. Melony nodded and get into position. The music start and they start doing the dance routine again.

*Time skip*

Late at night is all lights out, all except one. The dancing room. Melony is still awake and is practicing the dancing routine all on her own.

''No. I made a mistake again.'' Complain Melony silently and try the same step again. The remaining of the day after the dance practice that morning, did Melony publish some of her new videos, so that she can have extra time to practice the dance perfectly before Saturday. 

''What are you doing?'' Melony jumped at the sudden voice and spin around to see Eiji Otori standing at the door.

''I can ask you the same.'' Says Melony back and pointed at the male.

''I was thirsty so I went to get water, but then I saw the light coming from the keyhole. So what are you doing this late at night?'' Ask Eiji again and walk closer. Melony look to her feet and played with the tip of her ballet shoes. 

''I... I am just scared that I gonna mess up at the contest, so I wanna practice to 'perfect' our little dance. Nagi was sweet enough to make the dance simple, but still made it look professionel, so the least I could do is to dance it perfectly.'' Says Melony embarrassed and sit on the ground. Eiji follow her down and sit crossed legs.

''I totally understand that, but the important part in dancing is to feel for it.'' Advice Eiji. Melony look at him confused, which make him chuckle. ''Later this morning, did you do great, but it didn't look like you were having fun at all, which make the dance a little sad. So let me help you empress your feelings into the dance.''
