12) Video... Or not

Melony POV

I hum as I stretch the bottom of my skirt, to straight it out. I have been really happy these few days, and that is mainly because of the victory me and Nagi had at the dancing contest. And that victory has given me a weird idea. An idea of me finally get out of my shell and start perform in front of others, but then I remembered about that day and shut off that idea down immediately.

''Melony-chan. I am going now. Ryuya-kun promised to look for you, but I know you won't leave the Master Course without telling it to anyone.'' Inform uncle by the door to my room, then leave for work. The last thing I do before leaving, is setting my hair up so I have a big hair bow.

''Time for work. I have a video section with STARISH.'' I mumble to myself and walk down the hallway to get some breakfast. When I arrive at the dinner room and see not so many of them are here. ''Where are the others?''

''Either at a photo shoot, rehearsal or are just out.'' Answered Ai, which I now notice. He and Reiji are here today. Those two along with Kira, Shion and Tokiya.

''How are you doing, Mel-Mel?'' Ask Reiji and smile to me.

''W-Well I was gonna ask STARISH to be in my next video, because of Saotome-san told us too, but now that only Tokiya is here, then I don't know what to do.'' I explain and look down, feeling a little sad that I picked the wrong time to do this.

''I won't mind being the only one.'' Says Tokiya kindly, which make me look at him. ''And you can make videos with one member of STARISH to make each unique.''

''That is a great idea.'' I cheered, liking the idea and already thinking of the content for each member. ''BUT, my fans doesn't know this is a work between us, so the first video with you guys should be with all of you.''

''That is understandable.'' Agree Tokiya. I am glad that he understand, but since I don't have anything else to do, then maybe I can do a video with Tokiya that can be on standby.

''Its been a long time since you made video's with us, Melony.'' Says Ai with his usual monotone, but I think I heard a slight pouting in his tone.

''I can arrange one... I just thought you guys were too busy for something silly as my videos.'' I say back carefully.

''We all had a great time. You made us all laugh and have fun.'' Inform Reiji and ruffle my hair. I push him away and try to fix my hair.

''What about HEAVENS?'' Ask Kira, which shock me.

''Huh?'' I ask him confused.

''Wouldn't you want HEAVENS to be in any of your videos?'' Ask Kira again.

''Uhm... Well... Saotome-san and uncle is the manger of my video, so they are the one planning who I would work with.'' I said slowly, trying to chose my words carefully. ''But if I had the choice, then I would love to.''

''But, it is your channel, you have the right for the content of the video.'' Protested Tokiya and sweatdrop. I look away from him, trying to avoid eye contact.

''You get to choose What you wanna do in the videos.'' Pointed Shion out quietly. I nodded at that, still not giving eye contact.

''That need to be fixed, Mel-Mel.'' Exclaim Reiji and make me look at him. ''It is your channel, meaning your choice.''

''Uncle says he is only doing it for me cause I am too young to estable working partner. When I am in the right age, would he let me chose and help me.'' I explain, trying to stop this subject.

''You almost made her cry, Reiji.'' Point Ai out, which make Reiji flinch. 

''Wait, what about the Halloween song video? Won't your fans ask for more?'' Wonder Tokiya and remember the Halloween party.

''I made a quick video, to my fans, that I won't start making music. Maybe from time to time, but I won't become a singer... I can't take the risk of them knowing my weird voice.'' I say a little sad, but keep myself strong in order not to let any tears fall.

''But you voice is amazing.'' Chipred Reiji to me, but I just look down. ''If I had that amazing talent, would I sing every day to the world. A talent that rare is what makes you special.''

''But what use can it do? I crack every time I sing, because I remember that awful day.'' I argued back and cross my arms. Keep it together Melony. Keep it together.

''But you singed wonderful at the party.'' Says Tokiya confused.

''I... I may or may not... recorded the song and mimicked at the party...'' I slowly said, getting a little embarrassed.

''You did that? I never even noticed it. You where mimicking so well I didn't even noticed it.'' Praise Tokiya, surprising me. I thought he would be mad or disappointing.

''Really?'' I ask surprised. Tokiya nodded with a small smile.

''Yeah, and your normal voice, is a great singing voice, so why not try to become a singer?'' Says Tokiya. I blinked before taking a deep breath.

''Try sing, just for us.'' Suggest Kira

''O-Okay.'' I mumble and close my eyes. I take a deep breath again and try to sing, but not sound came out. Oh no. ''I can't do it. You guys are here, which make me remember of the crowd I cracked in front of.''

''Calm down, Melony.'' Says Tokiya, but I didn't listen. I just turn around and run towards the recording rooms.

''I need to clear my mind.'' I shout back and run all the way to the recording room. My recording room. I step inside the silent room and take a seat on the couch. The voices from that horrible day replays in my head.

''Monster.'' No I am not.

''Freak.'' Leave me alone.

''Get away from her.'' I am happy here with my uncle, and my friends...

''She may steal your voice.'' I won't be like that. Never ever. I shake my head and take deep breaths, like uncle told me to do. I really wanna sing, since my parents were singers, but this stupid curse of a voice is scaring me. My dad had the same talent, only he could only sing with male voices. I can sing with both gender. I grab an Ipad in the room and look inside my notes. A lyric I tried to made.

''Here I am... once again... Feeling lost but now and then... I breathe it in to let it go.'' I start sing very low, trying so hard not to crack and keep it in my original voice. ''And you don't know where you are now... Or what it would come to... if only somebody could hear... When you figure out how... You're lost in the moment... you disappear.'' That is how far I made with this song.

''I think step one is over.'' I flinched and look towards the door and see Reiji and the others four in here, with me.

''You were in here all this time?'' I ask and defiantly blush hard.

''It's to prove that we like you and your talent, so you shouldn't be afraid to sing in front of us.'' Says Tokiya. I sighed, but still smiled. They wanna help me, so why not let them. And they are pro singers, so maybe they have tricks to keep my cracking from happening.

''W-Will you please... help me get over my fear... I wanna sing again to the outside world... and become an singing idol.'' I said brave, but careful. The five inside nodded without hesitation. I really do have great friends.
