The afternoon sun streamed through the tall windows of Beacon Academy's cafeteria, casting warm golden light across the bustling dining hall. Students chatted animatedly over their meals, the collective sound of conversation creating a comfortable background hum that spoke of normalcy and routine.

At a table near the center of the room, Teams RWBY and DANY had claimed their usual spot for lunch. The eight students had grown considerably closer over the past few weeks, their bonds strengthened by shared experiences and battles that had tested them in ways their textbooks never could.

Daniel ate his meal peacefully, savoring both the food and the companionship. Across from him, Yang was observing her teammates and friends with the keen interest of someone who genuinely cared about the people around her.

"Hey Blake," Yang said, noticing the black-haired girl scribbling intensely in a notebook. "Whatcha working on over there?"

Blake quickly snapped the notebook shut, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. "Oh, just... reviewing some notes from last semester. Making sure I didn't miss anything important."

Yang caught a piece of bread that Nora had playfully tossed their way from Team JNPR's table. "That sounds incredibly boring," she said with a grin.

Her attention shifted to Sleek, who was scrolling through articles on his Scroll with focused concentration. "What about you, Sleek? Find anything interesting in the news today?"

The dark-haired young man looked up from his device. "Just keeping tabs on current events. You'd be surprised how much important stuff gets buried in the back pages."

Yang smiled warmly and leaned her head against Sleek's shoulder, letting out a contented giggle. He responded by gently patting her hair, a gesture that had become natural between them over the past few weeks.

RECENTLY...

It had been exactly seventeen days since the incident at the shipping containers—seventeen days since Roman Torchwick's unexpected demise and the resolution of a conspiracy that had threatened Vale's very foundations. In the aftermath, the teams had managed to avoid most media attention, a small miracle given the scale of what had transpired.

During this period, both Daniel and Dark had been working with Sleek to master the art of focused meditation and energy control. Sleek's patient instruction had proven invaluable in helping them refine their fusion technique and manage the overwhelming power it generated.

The revelation of Blake's Faunus heritage had been handled with surprising maturity by the group. Weiss, in particular, had shown remarkable growth in her understanding and acceptance—partly influenced by Dark's own Faunus-like attributes when he achieved his more advanced transformations.

As the friends continued their casual lunch conversation, Ruby suddenly appeared at their table with the enthusiasm of someone who had just discovered the secret to eternal happiness. In her arms, she carried what could only be described as the most intimidatingly thick binder any of them had ever seen.

The cover read "BEST DAY EVER ACTIVITIES" in Ruby's characteristically enthusiastic handwriting, complete with doodles of roses and weapon schematics around the borders.

CURRENTLY...

"Attention, everyone!" Ruby announced, setting the massive binder down with a solid thud that made the table shake slightly. "Sisters, friends, teammates, and..." She paused, looking directly at Daniel with a mischievous smile, "...very special people in our lives."

"Aww, that's sweet, Ruby," Weiss said, though she eyed the binder with growing concern. "But what exactly is all this?"

Dark leaned forward to examine the binder more closely, his eyes widening at its sheer thickness. "Ruby, this thing looks like it could be used as a weapon."
