It was really dark when we left their house. The mist felt good with the dark, cold air blowing in our faces. Just when everything was fine, we stepped on a rope and got hung in a tree.
"W...what th..the hell is thiiissss!" Ana was freaking out and straining her eyes in the darkness trying to make sure no one killed us but unfortunately she failed.
"Ana shhh, I hear someone coming." We listened closely and heard footsteps. "Are you girls stupid?" We heard a voice and knew it was a guy. "Who are you calling stupid!" I shot back at him.
"You, how the heck do you get caught in rope?" He seemed mad but I didn't care. "First of all, its too dark to see anything. Second, why do you have this trap anyways?" Ana now jumped in.
"I have it to catch food, also, how is it too dark, I can see just fine." He got us down and took us to his house. Then I realized he also had ears and a tail except his were fox ears and a fox tail.
He turned on the light and looked at us. "You two don't have ears or a tail!?" He was surprised for some reason.
"Does everyone in this world have ears and a tail?" I asked so that way later I wouldn't be surprised.
"Yeah, it's how we've been since we were born." Then he explained everything in detail to us.
"I see. We're not from this world so we don't have animal ears or a tail."
"I see." He stood up as daylight filled the room with warm kindness. "You might want to get out of the forest before nighttime comes."
He opened the door as we left. Once again, we set out to find a village or a town that could possibly be nearby.
