Chapter 15: Three Days Later

(Your POV)

I wake up to Toothless bouncing around the house.

"Oh, hey, Toothless. I'm happy to see you too, buddy. ... OW! What-- Uh, I'm in my house. You're in my house! Uh... does my dad know you're in here?!" It's Hiccup. He's awake! Hurrying down the stairs I about do a faceplant onto the floor.

"Hiccup!" Excitedly I give him a big hug. "You're awake!"

"Hey, Y/n." he says smiling.

Giving him a worried look as he starts getting out of bed. I see a look of sadness appear on his face. "I'm sorry Hiccup. It was either you or your leg." Sitting next to him I pull him into another hug.

(Hiccup's POV)

Looking at where my lower left leg should have been, there's a prosthetic in its place. Sighing I look at my sister. Giving her a brave smile, I get up out of bed.

"Careful" she cautions me. "You've been in bed for two weeks."

Wobbly, I turn towards her, "Really?"

Nodding her head, she stands up to help steady me. Between my sister and Toothless I make it to the door. Leaning on Toothless I let Y/n open the door. Seeing a Monstrous Nightmare, I instruct her to quickly shut the door.

"It's ok, Hiccup. We're all friends with them now. Well... everyone except Mildew."

"I knew it. I'm dead." Stating as I walk out the door to see Vikings and dragons together.

(3rd Person POV)

Stoick: "No, but you gave it your best shot. So? What do you think?"
Viking #1: "Hey, look! It's Hiccup!"
Viking #2: "Hiccup, how you doin' mate?"
Viking #3: "It's great to see you up and about."
Stoick: "Turns out all we needed was a little more of... this."
Hiccup: "You just gestured to all of me and Y/n."
Gobber: "Well, most of you guys. [Gestures to his metal leg] That bit's my handiwork. With a little "Hiccup Flair" thrown in. You think it'll do?"
Hiccup: "I might make a few tweaks."
Astrid: [Punches Hiccup] "That's for scaring me."
Hiccup: "What, is it always going to be this way? Cause..."

[Astrid kisses Hiccup.]

Hiccup (cont.): "...I could get used to it."
Gobber: "Welcome home." [Hands Hiccup new tail fin and saddle]
Viking: "Night Fury! Get down!"

Y/n: "You ready?"

Hiccup: "Yes"

Y/n: "I'm flying. You give that leg a break."

Hiccup: "But you don't know how."

Y/n: "I watched what you did. I've got this."

Hiccup: "This... is Berk. It snows nine months of the year, and hails the other three."

Y/n: "Any food that grows here is tough and tasteless."

Hiccup: "The people that grow here are even more so."

Y/n: "The only upsides are the pets. While other places have...ponies or parrots, we have..."

Hiccup and Y/n: "Dragons!"
