~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nearly a day had passed since you had been returned home. You're not complaining, you missed this place.
Needless to say, the Yeti village was incredible while you were there. And the way the villagers were amazed and interested in your ways and your life, that made you feel safer than you believed.
Migo was one of the Yetis you kept thinking about.
Even though you've only known him for a day, you've thought about him more frequently than you were supposed to. You thought about what he is telling his people right now about your kind, hoping that they would listen to the real truth about you. You desperately wished to see him again so you could feel his warmth again, so that you could tell him how you love him.
But then again, you would have to go slow in relationships such as this.
That day, you got your wish.
You and Percy were busy cleaning the fireworks shop sign as part of the community service you were given. Brenda was standing to the side, holding a ladder you and Percy are on to steady you.
You saw something out of the corner of your eye and turned to find a familiar figure walking over the hill. You gasped when you recognized Migo and the Yeti villagers, who are approaching the human city.
As fast as you could, you climbed down the ladder and headed towards the front gate of the city, just as the other people noticed the Yetis walking towards them.
The SWAT team and policemen had already made it to the front of the gathering crowd and barricaded themselves to protect the citizens, but you weren't to let the past repeat itself.
You pushed past a few of the SWAT team members and stood in front of the Yetis bravely. Your back straight and your head held high, you stared down at the policemen.
"Ma'am, step out of the way and return to the crowd," the leader of the authorities commanded.
You refused by taking a few steps back and standing beside Migo. You felt his hand intertwined with yours and glanced up at him with a reassuring smile. He beamed back at you in reply.
Percy and Brenda stepped out from the crowd next and stood in front of you and the Yeti villagers. Looking back at you, they nodded and turned their gazes back to the people.
The pilot from the bar approached the Yetis first before he was followed by the others. The Yetis then stepped toward the humans more comfortably and unafraid.
You gently lead Migo and Meechee to where Percy and Brenda are standing. The two Yetis saw your two friends, who waved at them in greeting.
Brenda noticed your hand being held by Migo and wiggled her eyebrows at you playfully. You blushed, yet you didn't try and pull away.
You smiled at the ground before beaming up at Migo, who smiled back at you.
For the first time, humans and Yetis alike are about to live as one.
You walked down the streets and passed a few kids who laughed and ran around you while playing. You smiled as you imagined the Yeti toddlers doing the same when you visited the Yeti village for the first time with Migo. The human youngsters reminded you of them.
The kids said their hellos to you and ran off laughing after you did the same with them. The smile didn't leave your face even after they disappeared around the corner.
It had been close to two months, and the Yetis and humans were living peacefully. With help from Percy and Brenda, you were able to prove that the horned villagers are not what they were thought to be. Even though some are still unconvinced about your truth about Migo and his people, you managed to persuade the human citizens with everything you had seen and heard about them with all your honesty.
Since then, both of your people became used to having the species they were afraid of for so long live near them, their fears slowly going away and being replaced with wonder and acceptance.
Right now, your town is littered with a few Yetis here and there.
You stopped near the restored town center and waited for your friends to arrive. You pulled out your phone to help pass the time. After what seemed like hours, you didn't bother looking up at whoever was walking up behind you.
A pair of arms suddenly took hold of you, which sent you yelping in fright. When you glanced up at your mysterious attacker, you were met with Migo's laughing face. You wanted to yell at him, but you just chuckled. His happiness is contagious, after all.
"Dude! Don't do that!" You gently lectured him.
"Sorry, my bad," Migo apologized, nuzzling his face in your hair in affection. "I'm just really glad to see you."
Though your face was blushing hard, you couldn't bring yourself to shake away that feeling. You don't want to be in a relationship that fast after seeing him for two months. You want to take it slow.
But your question remains unanswered. Would he really love you still? Even with your past haunting you?
