With Percy out to get groceries for tonight, you and Brenda were left to your own devices, with her editing the videos and asking Percy which works best on the phone and you working on your next idea for your hobbies. A knock on your apartment door brought you out of your thinking.
"Who could that be?" Brenda asked from the kitchen area.
"I got it!" You called back. When you opened the front door, Migo standing there with blushing cheeks took you by surprise. "Migo? Hey, I wasn't expecting you here right now. What's up?"
Migo shifted his weight from foot to foot, scratching at the back of his neck, as he tried to avert his gaze from you. A tinge of worry tugged at you. "Is something wrong?" You asked.
"Uh...I–no, I just..." With one hand shoved in his coat pocket, Migo sighed. "There's this Yeti festival that happens every year, and...it's coming up in a few days, so–so I want to know if...if you want to go with me?"
You blinked astonished, a hint of pink rushing on your cheeks. "Really? You want me to go?"
"Well, yeah. It's a perfect chance to learn more about my people's culture, and–uh–I mean, it could help you get more comfortable in my home. Do you want to come along?"
You stared up at him, your face now red. Your heart was already stuttering from your chest. It's not that you're already getting to the stage of starting a relationship, it's that it could be a date. But you didn't want to take any chances yet.
"Migo...I'd love to go. What's it about?" You answered with interest and a soft grin.
For one moment, relief and excitement shone in Migo's eyes, before he shook it off and replied. "Well, it's a festival that, like I said, happens every year, and it's to celebrate the beauty of..." he glanced away to think for a moment. "...I–I don't know what it's called. Stars? Ribbons? Colors?"
By then, you understood. "Oh, you mean Northern Lights? You celebrate the aurora borealis through a festival?" You asked in excitement.
"Yeah, yeah! We do!" Migo nodded eagerly. "When night comes around, the Ribbons of Colors dance across the sky, but until then, we just walk around and have a good time. It's gonna be strange, but I'd be happy to walk you through it if you'd like."
You've heard of Northern Lights before, but you never had the chance to see them in real life before. Percy and Brenda had shown you pictures of them when they were down in Svalbard, which made you want to see them even more. And now with Migo asking you to join them to see them in a festival with his people, the ecstasy in your heart grew more than before.
"That's so sweet of you. I'll go. When is it?" You asked.
"Uh, this Friday. And, uh, I'm hoping there's nothing going on?" Migo implied hopefully.
"Well, the last I checked, I don't have anything, but I'll have to check with Percy. Hopefully, I don't have anything going on," you replied. In all honesty, you were hoping you don't have any plans on that same day. You really want to go to the festival with Migo.
"Uh, that-that's perfect. So, uh, I'll see you then?" Migo beamed.
"Oh, yeah. It's a date." By the time you realized what you had said, it was already too late to take it back. Your face was now flushed pure red with embarrassment and from the butterflies that now attacked your stomach. "Uh, I–I mean–"
After he blinked, he smirked teasingly at you. "A date, huh?"
"It's–It isn't what I meant–I'm sorry–"
"Nope, too late to turn back now," Migo smirked wider as he cupped your face and planted a kiss on your forehead. "It's a date. I'll pick you up Friday at six."
