"It's been a while Kelsey." Kaname said softly, petting my cheek.
"Yeah. It's been at least six years."
He gave Aido and the other aristocrat a dirty look.
"I'm very sorry that happened. They won't bother you anymore. Will you?"
"No dorm president Kuran." Aido said walking back to class. His friend Akatsuki following behind.
The last time I saw Kaname was before his family incident. Yes I knew about his family. Before they decided that his younger sister was going to marry him, they chose me to be his fiancé. Then the incident happened and things changed. I never saw him again after that. But yet, here we are.
"How are you?" I asked him putting back my weapon.
"Good, but you don't seem to be. And I don't remember your parents saying that they'd enroll you here."
"You saw my parents?"
"Yes. They came to the academy a few days ago. They talked to Cross about you, but I didn't get to hear the whole story. Why?"
"Oh nothing." I lied.
"Are you sure? Because you know I can tell if there's something wrong. Especially with my belated fiancé." He was now holding up my chin and holding me at the waist.
"No. Kaname. My parents and family were killed yesterday on my birthday. And I watched my mother get shot in the chest. And my best friend wanted to ask me to marry him, but laid down his life to save me." Tears started to form in my eyes as I told him.
"I'm sorry my dear Kelsey. I wish I could do something to help." He said while brushing the back of his hand onto my soft face.
"Don't be. It's not your fault. I just wish they had told me sooner."
I grabbed his hand and held it close."I regret not coming to see you. But I needed to make sure that Yuki was safe."
'Yuki, but why Yu-' then I remembered Kaname's little sisters name was Yuki. There were rumors that said she was alive but I had no idea they were true. But something was wrong. I didn't scent her as a vampire.
"You know that I missed you. I didn't have the courage to visit you and I had my hands tied with handling the night class. Please forgive me."
His face expression became melancholy and pitiful.
"Kaname. I didn't know about Yuki. If I did I would have contacted you earlier." I said stroking his cheek.
"Please. It was a long time ago. You're the one I'm most worried about right now."
I blushed about twenty-five shades of red.
"So. Yuki doesn't know."
"No. And you can't tell her. It would bring back very bad memories for her and I don't want that for her."
"I get what you mean. How about we meet up tomorrow at my parents lake house I'll invite Yuki. I don't think Zero will come, but I know she might want to come." I said putting on a smile.
"That would be nice. I'll meet you there. Goodnight Kelsey and be careful. I wouldn't like it if you got hurt." He said while letting go of my waist and kissing my hand then heading back to the rest of the night class students.
"Goodnight Kaname Kuran."
I was falling for Kaname. We were in love once but that stupid accident happened and ruined our relationship. Even me and Yuki. Yuki and I were very close to each other. I used to babysit her whenever the Kuran's needed to go out for anything. I remembered that I was at least four years older than her. Wow, do I feel short.
