Revenge

~Kelsey's POV~

I felt bad for Charlotte. She just lost her only sister, and I don't think she has any other family left. I understand on how she feels. After all... My mother was killed right in front of me. My innocent mother, what did she ever do to them? And why did they have a gun pointed right at my brother? I can't think about my life right now, Charlotte needs attention and I'm going to be there for her.

"Charlotte? Are you okay?" I asked her, making sure she wasn't hurt.

"No. My sister was the only family I had left and now..."

"I wish I could help, but I only know that she was beaten and I can't help unless I have more info. Charlotte we're going to find whoever did this. They will pay."

She tensioned up. Her eyes began to glow and I knew that the smell of blood was overwhelming. Because I could still smell the leftover blood.

"I'll go and get some blood tablets. I'll be right back."

I walked out and walked to Kaien's office. Kaname was standing by the couch and Zero was by the window crossing his arms.

"Where's Cross?" I asked quietly walking in and sitting down on the couch.

"I don't know. I came here as well to find him. The night class is beginning to get out of hand." Kaname said walking over to me.

"I see." As I said this, I looked down and clenched my fits up.

"You know what happened. Don't you?" Kaname asked.

"I do. It was Charlotte's little sister. We found her body by the lake and I'll I know is that she was beaten to death. So no vampire could've done that to a child."

Zero glanced over at me. Giving me the 'Is she okay' look.

"Charlotte's fine, but I'm afraid we can't do anything for Penny. I came to get some blood tablets for her. She seems really upset so I have to go I'll be back later to get Cross."

"I must go as well. I need to get ready for tomorrow."

No response from Zero. He was just standing there with a gloomy expression. I'll talk to him later, but right now Charlotte needs some blood tablets.

Kaname and I walked out of the room together and he walked me to Charlotte's room.

"Kelsey. Are you okay?" He asked stroking his hand against my face.

"Just a little worried. But I'm still up for dance lessons."

"Good. I hope Miss Rose will feel better. After all the dance is in two days."

"Wow it came so quickly. And I still need a dress."

He grinned. He came closer to my face, then closer and closer until our lips touched gently. I blushed about fifty different reds. He slowly wrapped his arms around my waist and I gently rested my hands on his chest.

"I'm looking forward to tomorrow." He whispered.

He let go and walked away. I collapsed to my knees and blushed more than ever.

"That was so..." I mumbled touching my lips.

Words kept coming to my head, but they weren't the right ones to describe on what just happened.

I got back up and walked in to the room. Charlotte was asleep on the bed clutching her committee weapon. I decided it was safer to just lay down on the ground and stay awake the whole night... Just in case.

I heard a knock on the door just as I was about to fall asleep.

It was Cross.

"What?"

"I heard that Charlotte needed some tablets."

"Yeah, but she's asleep."

"Kelsey. Do you have a clue on to who this could've been?"

"No. But whoever they are, they're going to pay."

"Be careful on what you wish for Kelsey."

"Trust me. I know what I'm doing. And if they hurt anybody else, I won't give mercy." I warned.

"Goodnight Kelsey."

"Goodnight."

I shut the door and laid back down and fell asleep to the sounds of rain. It was a storm outside, and it was hitting hard. I just hope it won't stop me from my dance lessons with Kaname.

~Zero's POV~

Charlotte. I'm sorry about Penny, I wish I could help, but my thirst for blood is holding me back from everything. Including class. Penny's blood smell was overwhelming, and I can't risk hurting anybody. Especially you. I wish I could tell you about me, but some secrets are better as secrets.

"Come out from where you are." I said.

A day class boy came out of the bushes along with four more boys.

"Zero Kiryu! We know you have feelings for our dear Charlotte Rose! And we came to battle you for her love!" The middle one yelled.

"I don't fight amateurs."

"We're not amateurs Kiryu. We're trained, and we will fight for Charlotte! Are you prepared?"

"It's not like she'd ever fall for you."

"You're jealous Kiryu. Admit it!" One of the other ones said.

"Like hell. I've just known her long enough to know that she doesn't like your type."

"It's not like you hang out with her. Actually, it looks like you're avoiding her Kiryu. Scared to show your affections?"

"I don't have affections for her. I just know her. Now go back to your dorms, I don't deal with kids." I said walking away.

One of them came at me from behind, but I sidestepped and bent his arm backwards. Another came at me, but this one looked a little tougher than the others. He tried to hit me, I dodged the hit and punched him in the gut. The other two ran away like little chickens.

"Like I said, I don't deal with amateurs." Just as I said that, the one that I sidestepped hit me from behind. I punched him in the face. He fell to the floor knocked out.

I walked back to the main building leaving behind the beaten day class students.

'They have feelings for Charlotte? At least they can show it. I'd just scare her away.'

~Charlotte's POV~

I woke up in the middle of the night. It had stopped raining, but it still smelled like rain. I smelled a faint whiff of blood.

'Somebody probably fell or something.' I thought. I got out of bed making sure not to wake up Kelsey. She's so nice, I wish I could tell her what happened on my sister's birthday. But I can't.

I left the room and walked outside. It was cold and wet. I decided to walk over to the lake to take my mind off things. I hope. While I was walking there some boys were passed out in the ground, I knew them. They're in my class, you could call them my 'fans'. They look beat up. I wonder what happened? I looked up at the boys dorm and saw that Zero's room light was still on.

'He must be troubled. Had hasn't been to class or on duty, I hope he's okay.'

I dragged the boys's body's to the boys dorm door and walked away like nothing happened. Just then somebody came up from behind me. I spun around and saw... Zero?
