Deanna could feel herself being picked up and carried into the house. She felt her heart pounding in her chest and soon that was all she heard when he placed her down somewhere. Whatever she was laying on was cold and dirty and hard like a giant rock.
"Where am I?" Deanna tried calling out, but instead of a yell it came out as a faint whisper. She tried to get up but her body ached and she felt her head throb. She remembered Aiden and how he got the license plate. Yes! She thought to herself. She didnt know what he would do but hoped that she could be rescued soon from this real nightmare.
She could hear bangs coming from above her and the darkness around her started to get swallowed by a dim light coming from somewhere dignal from her pain-filled body.
"So Deanna, why did you trust me?" He yelled from above the stairs. She closed her eyes and curled up her body and he came down a few steps. "Were you desperate? Lonely? Wanted this to happen?" The more he spoke the deeper his words stabbed at her head.
"Leave me alone!" She muttered out with fear. Deanna kept her eyes closed tight. She though she heard him come down more but instead he went back upstairs and locked the door. She sighed with relief but soon remembered how of course he would come back.
Although her heart was preventing calmness, she tried to center herself and when all was silent she felt a eery chill crawl up her spine and shake her body. Deanna let out a sigh and decided to try and get some rest, she knew that sleep would help her.

A loud bang awoke her quickly. She managed to sit up and when she looked at the door that the so called "Arlo" stood in last night, it seemed to be budged. He was shoving his should into the door trying to open it. Deanna crawled quietly away from the bottom of the stairs so if he had come in, he wouldnt crush her body against the cold stone floor after he finished tumbling down the stairs. After a few more minutes of banging he slammed one last time as hard as he could into the door but when it still didnt open he gave up. Deanna could hear him stomping away from the cold basement and somewhere else where it was far from her.
She slowly rised to her feet and started walking around and exploring the basement. She thought if she is here, she might have to get to know it better. When she looked under the stairs she saw a blanket and a pillow and it was clean with no cobwebs. Who else has been here? She thought to herself. If someone was down here she needed to know. Deanna started to get an uncomfortable feeling in her gut but tried to shake it off.
When she ventured deeper the uncomfortable feeling grew bigger. It was for the most part a really dark part of the basement but then something caught her eye. When she continued on to where she thought she saw something, she noticed a window pouring in sunlight. She noticed it was slightly open and tried to open it more. When it was finished opening she noticed it was quite a large gap and she knew that she could fit through it and escape.
She looked around for something to mark the window but couldn't find anything so she decided on walking from the bottom of the stairs to the window multiple times to get aquianted with the steps and so she knew how many she would take before reaching the window. When she felt comfortable with the direction and the steps she went back to the area "Arlo" knew where to find her.

"Deanna." 'Arlo's' voice echoed from the top of the stairs. She slowly raised to sit up and noticed she passed out. "You better still be down there you stupid punk!" He sounded like he was drunk, or something had happened, but Deanna didnt want to know. She was surprised when he hadn't tried banging on the door instead of calling down to her. She hoped he was drunk so he could sleep for the night so she could escape.
Her heart was starting to race when not a single crack or noise was heard from the house. After some minutes of thinking her plan through she grabbed the blacket and pillow and wrapped it up. She counted her steps and made it to the window. Once she was there she looked behind her to make sure he wasnt somehow down here and then looked back out the window. She could see a forest close by so she had to run until she reached the woods then she could start walking. She slid down below the window for a few to become calm before her 'Great Escape'.
Deanna let out a breath then stood up again. She threw the blanket and pillow out the window then proceeded to squeeze her body out as well. Once she reached to earth she sighed with relief to have fresh air in her needy lungs and grass brushing against her hands. She glared around before she darted towards the woods. They seemed so much further than when she was inside the basement.
Her heart was like it was speeding in car, not only because of her fear but also because of her running. She was running as fast as she could manage. As soon as she reached the woods she collapsed to her knees. Her breath was quick and her legs ached.
"Hey!!" She heard 'Arlo' yell out. "Where did you go punk!" His words shot her heart and Deanna swore that her heart skipped a beat.
She quickly stood and and only ran a few more steps before she fell back down to her knees. She f esea red for her life but she couldn't move. Her mind swirled about how she would die from this creepy fat guy.
"Where are you punk!?" He yelled out. But instead of being from above on the second floor it was from the front door and when she looked closer he was holding a gun. She looked down at her blanket and pillow and noticed how bright colored they were.
Deanna got to her feet and started to run again with all her might. Her body was trying to get her back down to relax but she just couldn't stop. She heard the gun for then felt the bullet fly over her head. I'm about to die alone without anyone knowing!  She thought to herself. This is my end!
