 Chapter 6

Zoes POV

I woke up up from my deep sleep and wrapped my arm around my pillow and snuggled in closer.

I then realised felt my pillow breathe. ‘thats odd’ i thought to myself ‘pillows don't breathe nor do they move’ I opened my eyes to see what it was i was snuggled into.

i blinked a few times and it looked like i had fallen asleep on Connor while  watching the movie last night.

I rubbed my face with my hands and sat up properly to grab my phone off the floor to have a look at the time ‘10:00am’ shit we are so late for school.

Oh well we can just miss school today i still need to settle in anyway.

I lay my head back down on connors chest, yawning in the process.

I feel connor move under me. i look up at his face, his eyes suddenly flutter open.

“Morning Zoe” he yawned “you sorta fell asleep on my shoulder last night and i didn't want to wake you up and i ended up falling asleep too.”

“okay” i looked into his eyes and smiled.

“hey do you know what the time it is? Because we have school today and we don’t want to be late”

“oh its umm 10:30” i told connor

“shit 10:30 we are gonna be late for school” he swore sitting up straight

“Calm down would you its only school and im not going anyway so dont worry about it. I can call the school for you and say we aren't coming if it'll make you happy?” I told him

“What, why aren't you going to school today?” he asked me.

“1, because we are late, 2, because i'm tired and 3, because i want to settle in here” i told him holding up 3 fingers “but be my guest and be boring and go to school. Have you ever ditched school for the day and actually gone out and had fun? What do you do for Fun?”

“Ah for fun i like to read and do maths, Im weeks ahead then everyone else because i love my work” he told me

“Are you actually freaking kidding me, do you not like to get outside or anything, like go skateboarding, swimming, play a sport?” i asked him. All he did was shake his head.

“Right you are going to spend with me whether you like it or not and i’m going to show you what fun is because i am not marrying a guy who does not know how to have fun” i told him “go get ready and meet me back in the kitchen in an hour because i have to get ready and organise some stuff. Oh and nothing nerdy please.”

I stood up and ran up to my room had a shower and got changed into a pair of light blue denim shorts with a reddy orange singlet with white polka dots with a pair of brown sandals. I blowed dried my hair and left it curly. i grabbed my sunglasses and put them on my head. I went onto my notes app on my phone and wrote down a few of the activities for the day.

An hour was up and i ran downstairs to meet connor.

He was standing there wearing a pair of skinny jean shorts that ended above his knee and a white t-shirt with an aqua wave on the front.

“Alright are you all ready to go?” i asked him

“ahhh yeah sure. can you tell me where we are going?

“nope” i told him popping the p, “come on we’ll take my car” i told him as we walked towards the my red convertible.

I jumped in and swung the car door shut and put my seatbelt on.

“right are you ready to go?”

“yep”

i started the car and drove to the first place i was taking him and it was also one of my favourite places to go and just let stress out.

We arrived at the park where they had set up an indoor ice skating rink for the month to cool down when it got too hot since it was summer.

“you're taking me ice skating?” connor asked

“yep its one of my favourite places and since you don't do sport or anything i thought that this would be nice and easy”

“I can't ice skate, I can barely walk on my own 2 feet let alone skate”

“Come on, it'll be so much fun come on. Pretty pretty please” i begged

“Umm okay ill give it a shot”

“YAY!!!!!!” i screamed so happy.

i am going to try and make this the best day ever he has ever had.

CONNORS POV

I just finished putting my skates on. I stood up since i was on a seat right by the gate to get onto the rink and carefully guided myself onto the ice where Zoe already was.

I was holding onto the side so i wouldn't fall over watching Zoe and the concentration written on her face.

Everyone had stopped skating to watch Zoe and all the tricks she was doing, she was absolutely amazing.

I tried skating over to her but fell over on my butt. “Ouch” i yelled. Zoe skated over to me and helped me up.

“Are you okay??” she asked while pulling me over to the sid.

“yeah i guess” i told her.

We continued skating for an hour and then left.
