Chapter 8

So here is chapter 8. i dont think ill update again until next monday but here you go 2 updates in a row.  There are also 4 new Characters that are introduced in the chapter. its still quite early in the book so i dont think there will be many more characters introduced :).                                           Please vote and comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Ahh i agreed to it for two reasons actually,” He said then paused

Connors POV

I dont know why i’m making a big deal out of this really i guess it was just sort of a secret i've kept with myself for a few years thinking that nothing harmless can come out of a small crush.

 “Ahh well my parents got a call back in august from your dad about it all. So after my parents finished talking to your dad they sat me down in the kitchen, and told me that your dad has offered me two things the first one being, once he retires, i can take over his business but only if i marry you which is the second thing he offered. I got told i had 1 week to come up with my answer or they would find someone else. So over the week i thought over the offer over and over again and decided i would take up the offer.” I told her.

 “Okay but that only answers half of my question. Why did you take the offer?” she asked me.

 Damn i was hoping she would just be happy with what i told her.

 I looked her dead in the eye “Alright the reason i took the offer was because it was a good job offer and because i'm always putting myself down i guess saying no one will ever accept me as i am because its true. And because i've had a crush on you forever, I told her, while also mumbling the last bit while looking down at the table looking at it like its the most interesting thing in the world.

 “Connor look at me you shouldn't be putting yourself down okay, its not good for you, saying that sort of stuff all the time can make you have depression. i might not know much about you right now but what i do know that you are smart and amazing. okay? oh and by the way i heard that last part too, i think thats really sweet.”

 I started to feel so much better about myself as she said that, i also felt my cheeks heat up really hot as she said the last part.

 “Right should we leave,” she asked while putting a $40 note on the table as we stood up and walked out.

We slid into her car and she drove out of the parking lot.

 “Okay since you said you have never played a sport..”

 “I played chess” i told her cutting her off.

 “Hate to break it to you but chess isn't a sport in my books sorry,”(A/N no offence to anyone who plays chess or takes that offensively im not trying to mean or anything)

 “I have a group of friends that are meeting us at the park to play a game with us, and dont worry they aren't from our school except Izzy and Sarah.”

We arrived at a park that was down the road from our house. well at least i think it is, i think i passed when i was driving here.

Zoe hopped out and ran ahead to meet a group of about 6 people, while i slowly trailed behind just taking my time to meet the new group of strangers.

 “Connor these are my best friends but they are all just a bit older than me and you know Izzy and Sarah from school i think. This is Luke, Izzy, Harry, Sarah, Carter and this is Lacey,” She told me pointing out each individual person.

 “Ahh hi everyone” i said suddenly feeling very nervous because everyone had their attention on me.

 “Hi mate” and “hey” they all echoed back to me.

 I looked at each and everyone of them sorting out each one with what they looked like and matching them to their names.

 First was Luke he was tall, had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, he was skinny jean shorts and has loose beach singlet on and had his arm lazily slung around izzys shoulder.

Next her as i pointed out before is izzy, she has long brown wavy hair with a black bandanna around her head holding the hair out of her eyes, she has blue eyes with a tint of green of them, she is also quite tall and is wearing a pair of denim shorts with a t-shirt that is black on the front and the back is cheetah print.

Standing next to Izzy is Harry.

Harry is a tall, muscular, longish brown haired, green eyes dude, he is also wearing similar clothes to what Luke is wearing but Harry’s singlet is a light blue.

Standing next to Harry is Sarah, she has long straight blonde hair, is sorta short, has big green eyes matching harrys, she is wearing khaki shorts with a white t-shirt.

Standing next to her was Carter he has brown hair, brown eyes and is reasonably tall he is also wearing the same as the other guys but his singlet is black and next to him is Lacey.

She is short with shoulder length blonde hair and has big blue eyes and is wearing jean shorts with a pink loose singlet.

 “So what game do you guys wanna play?” Zoe asked

 “I brought both a rugby and soccer ball,” Luke told us

 “How about soccer because thats easy and fun,” Izzy suggested.

 “Yeah sure” we all agreed.

 “Baby can i have the keys please?” Luke asked Izzy so he could  go grab his soccer ball.

 “Yeah sure, here you go,” she said as she handed the keys.

 “Oh yeah,” Izzy said as she pointed back at Luke, “Luke and I are dating”

 “Oh and so are Jacob and i,” Sarah told me as she stood on her tippy toes and kissed Carter on the cheek “and so are me and harry” Lacey told me as she did the same.

 “Right guys who’s ready to play some soccer?” Luke asked jogging back.

 “We are!” all the girls chorused giggling.

 “Okay then. Teams?” Harry asked.

 “how about me, Luke, Zoe and Connor against the rest of you guys” Izzy suggested

 “Yep that works” Zoe said.

 “Umm guys i don’t know how to play” I told them feeling really ashamed.

 “We won't play properly how about we just kick the ball and use our shoes as goals,” Harry told and suggested to us.

 “Yep, okay, everyone take their shoes off” Carter told us while laughing at something sarah said.

 I took my shoes off suddenly feeling really embarrassed about my sixth toe. Nah just joking but i was feeling really embarrassed about how well i’m going to play.

Sorry that it was a bit boring but i guess it was just introducing a few more characters and sorry its a bit boring im just working it up a bit at the moment.
