( Indigo's POV )

Ten years later

" Indigo! Come down here please!" My foster mom yelled.

I dropped my pencil and I came down the stairs to see a nice home cooked meal.

" I thought I would cook a nice meal for every one tonight cause I have some big news." She gleamed.

I nodded and sat down at my usual place.

Once the food was dished out and after they said grace, foster mom looked at me with a huge grin.

" What?" I asked.

"Your social worker found your dad." She said.

" What? You've got to be kidding me!" I smiled.

" I'm not kidding, they found him. You and Mrs. Tammy are flying to LA to meet him and see if he is able to take care if a child." She said still smiling.

" When do I leave?" I asked shaking in my seat.

" Saturday. Now lets eat!" She said and we dug in.

~~~ Time lapse to Saturday ~~~
I got out of the car with foster mom and we walked into the airport.
" Indigo!"
I looked over and I saw Mrs. Tammy running over to me.
" Mrs. Tammy!" I shouted back and I made my way over to her.
I gave her a hug.
" Oh it's so good to see you!" She said in my ear.
I smiled and pulled away.
I went over to foster mom and I hugged her. " I'm gonna miss you, thanks for taking care of me." I said to her.
She had tears at the brim of her eyes and I blew on her face making them dry up and go away.
" No you are not crying. You are the best family I have stayed with in my life and I will come and visit whenever I can." I smiled to her.
I gave her one last hug and we went to bored the plane.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As we got off the plane the air seemed hotter and more humid than in New York.

I took a deep breath and smelled the California air.

Mrs. Tammy was a little tired and so was i so we stopped by the little coffee stand.

" So what do you think they are going to be like?" Mrs.Tammy asks.

" I dont know i hope thats hes nice." I say smiling.

" Mommy, mommy look! She has no leg!" A little girl says pointing to me.

" Darling you cant say that." The mother said in a hushed tone to her child." Im sorry." She says to me.

" No its alright, i dont mind." I say waving at her.

" Mommy can i touch it?" The little girl asked.

" No honey. Thats rude." The mom said.

" No its alright, you can if you want." I say waving her over.

The little girl skips over to me and feels the plastic leg.

" It feels weird." She giggled.

I laughed.

" Can i draw you a picture on it?" She smiled brightly.

" Sure!"

She ran to her pink suitcase and brought out a pack of markers.

She drew a blue flower on the plastic part and she drew pretty green vines going up my leg with smaller purple flowers on them.

" I love it they are so pretty!" I gush.

The mother is packing up the little girls suit case when i walk over to her.

" You have a beautiful daughter, she is going to be amazing when she grows up." I smile at her.

" Thank you." She smiled back. " Come on Lily, lets go meet your dad."

The little girl waved a goodbye and walked off.

" I think that's them." Mrs.Tammy said to me after i sat down.

I saw two men, one average height and the other is freakishly tall, i couldn't see their faces cause they were covered by hoods.

Mrs. Tammy waved them over and they sat down.

" You are Austin Carlile, am I correct?" Mrs. Tammy said in her sweet voice.

" Yes." The tall man said. He pulled back his hood and i got to see his face.

He had brown hair that was cut and spiked up he had aviator sunglasses on and a nose ring.

The other man pulled back his hood and a mass of fire red hair was the first thing i saw of him.

" So Mr. Carlile, I was hoping you could tell us about yourself and your living arrangements and what you plan to do for your daughter." Mrs. Tammy said with a bright smile.

" let me make something clear," Austin said." I don't want a child. I'm sorry but you'll have to find someone's else to take care of her."

My jaw dropped.

"What?" I whisper.

" Hey sorry but I don't want a kid, I left your mother cause she told me she was having you, so yeah, bye." Austin said and walked away.

What he didn't know that the little life strand I had left walked away with him.
