Being an idol Chen barely had time to see his kids but he always tries to push his schedule to see them even if that meant not sleeping a lot. He knew that you were getting tired of raising the kids mostly on your own so he always makes sure to shower you with love and affection.
SM for some magical reason gave Chen a week break to spend some time with you and your guys two kids, one boy who's almost three now and your newborn daughter who was soon reaching the age of one whole month.
"Daddy's home" you heard his voice from kitchen as you were making dinner for all four of you. You could also hear your three years old tiny feet stomp down the stairs as fast as possible not caring if he fell only wanting to reach his father that he hasn't seen in almost three full days.
"DADDY" you heard Doyun your son scream as he reached his father before his laughter filled the house. With a soft smile you walked out of the kitchen to see Chen showering your son with kiss as he held him tightly missing him.
"Welcome home babe" you said softly gaining his attention making him place Doyun back on the floor and walk over to you pulling you in a soft kiss and a tight hug making Doyun gag at the sight.
As Chen pulled away your daughter's loud cries filled your ears making you sigh tiredly.
"Don't worry I got this" Chen placed a kiss on your forehead before walking up the stairs to get your daughter with you son trailing behind him.
You walked back to the kitchen and started preparing the table so you all can eat together as a family for the first time since you gave birth to your daughter.
"Daddy missed little pea" you heard Chen say in a baby voice making you chuckle. You watched with a smile as he walking in cradling your baby girls as his other hand held the small one of your son. This was a sight you were ready to watch for the rest of your life.
Chen sat down placing Duri your daughter on his lap as your son climbed on yours.
"It smells really good, thank you baby" he gave you his million dollar smile before you all dug in.
The next day you all were sitting in the car jamming to EXO's songs as Chen drove to get you all to his parents house so they can meet the last addition to the family, your daughter, since you guys didn't get an opportunity because from the second day Chen had to go back to work leaving you alone with a three years old, a newborn and aching pain from the birth of your daughter but you completely understood and that was one of the many things Chen loved about you, how understanding you were.
Sing for you came on the radio making a smile appear on your lips as the low tune floated around the car making your son settle back down taking a break from screaming his lungs out to Monster. You watched with a smile as Chen looked through the rear mirror every couple of minutes to check on your sleeping daughter who started showing signs of laziness already and slept through the screaming and jumping of her brother not caring one bit.
You felt a hand on your thigh snapping you back making you look beside you at Chen who kept his eyes on the road with a smile on his face. You took his hand into your small one making him pull your intertwined hands closer to him and he placed a light kiss at the back of your hand before settling them back on you lap, you two held hands throughout the rest of the trip to his parents house where they waited for you with his older brother.
"Grandma!!" Doyun screamed as he ran out of the car and into his grandmother's open arms squealing as she pulled him up.
You chuckled walking closer to then where you were greeted with a hug from your father-in-law. Chen walked over with Duri between his arms, he was holding here like she like she was a fragile doll which she is.
Doyun ran to his uncle as his grandparents gushed over the new baby. "You'll always be my favorite" you heard your brother-in-law say to your son who probably was feeling jealous now because his spot light now was stolen from him.
After a long day of fun you all decided to sleep, you and Chen laid down on his old bed in his old room with Doyun in between you and Duri in her lay down stroller.
You two were still awake watching your son as he slept soundly with fond smiles on your lips. You were patting him on his stomach as he liked while Chen watched you two fondly. His bigger hand covered your smaller one stopping your movement. You moved your gaze to him to see him looking at you fondly.
"Thank you noona" he muttered lowly to not wake your kids. Not many people knew that you were older than Jongdae because of your youthful face but you were two years older than he was.
"For what?" You asked placing your hand on his cheek making him close his eyes enjoying the moment. He placed his bigger hand over yours again pulling your hand closer to his lips placing a soft kiss on the inside of your palm.
"For staying with me even after discovering my heretic schedule and for giving me this beautiful family and for loving me for me and not the famous Chen of EXO" he whispered making you tear up.
"I knew the down falls of marrying an idol but for you Chen and for our kids I would go to hell and back a million times" you whispered as a tear escaped your eye.
Chen wiped it for you before you to kissed and laid fully down holding your son as you slept deeply.
