me and mel were eating breakfast while mike got dressed.

"i thought you only worked later?" i asked him.

"yeah, but i wanna go to lexi's before work." mike said.

"so, lexi is special, huh?" mel asked him.

"let it go mel." mike said with a laugh.

"you're with her like all the time, mike. this girl definitely is something to you." i said.

"whatever, i gotta go." mike said before he left.

"you know, all of you talking about your lovers, really makes me miss mine." i said letting out a sigh.

"isn't carl graduating soon?" mel asked me.

"i don't really know, i haven't heard from him in awhile." i replied.

we heard the door open and we saw taylor and julien walk out of her room.

"my place tonight?" julien asked her.

"see you tonight." taylor said before kissing him.

the two of them smiled after pulling away and julien walked over to the kitchen.

"hey." julien said.

"hey." mel and i said.

"i'd love to chat but i have to get to work." julien said.

"it's cool." i replied.

"see you later, julien." mel said before he walked out the door.

"oh, emma. mail for you." taylor said passing me the letter.

"thanks." i said before grabbing it.

"so, you and julien seem to be getting pretty serious, huh?" mel said as taylor sat down.

"yeah... i think i'm in love with him." taylor said.

"wow. by the way that guy was looking at you, he's definitely in love." mel said.

taylor began talking to her about him but i stopped paying attention when i read the letter.

it was from carl, he was graduating. but he didn't want me telling anyone.

i grabbed the envelope and i went into my room before i left the house.
