Chapter 1: A Warming Idea

"Christmas is coming in a couple of days! Does everyone know what they want for Christmas?" Henry asks his group of friends.

The group were out of school for Christmas Break. There are only a few days left until Christmas Day. Henry was hanging out outside, right by a fire he made, with Kevin, Aidan, Alex, Madison, Sophia, and Emma.

"Super Smash Bros Ultimate!" Kevin, Aidan, and Alex all said at the same time.

The girls just shrugged. Typical.

"Yeah I was expecting that..." Henry responds to them.

"So...want to play a game or something?" Kevin asked the group.

"Well, we are right by a fire, so how about hot potato?" Aidan suggested.

"You know, I totally forgot about that game! We should play it!" Sophia said with full of excitement.

"Ok sure. But to mix it up a bit, let's use a legitimate potato. Let me go get one!" Henry said as he went inside to go find one.

...

"Agh! I would've thought a simple lab coat would be fine for this cold weather! But I guess it isn't! And I really don't want to go buy another jacket! If only there was a way to make the climate a little bit warmer..."

Dr. Steve is in his lab, complaining about how ridiculously cold it is getting from a recent snowstorm that hit Houston. Then an idea came to his mind.

"I know! I'll move the earth a little bit closer to the sun! But that will probably require a lot of power... Maybe Benito can help!"

He then calls Benito.

"Benito, I know what we're gonna do today!"

"What's that?" He asked.

"We're going to move the earth a little bit closer to the sun! And I'm gonna need your help!"

"How are we going to do that?"

"I'll make the inator, and you put magic on it so it doesn't use too much electrical power!"

"Ok, get the blueprints and I'll be right over."

So Dr. Steve found some blueprints online and printed it out. Then once Benito arrived, they began to build it.

...

Henry eventually found a potato and came back outside.

"Alright! Found one! It's kind of heavy, but that will make it more of a challenge!"

They all gathered in a circle around the fire.

"Hot Potato! Hot Potato! Who has the hot potato? If you have the hot potato, you are...out!" The group sang as they threw it around.

...

"Alright, it's finished! Now just for the final touch!" Dr. Steve said, facing Benito.

Benito used his magic on the machine that will make it so it doesn't use too much electrical power.

"Now it's really finished!" Benito said.

Dr. Steve and Benito pushed the inator out to his porch and aim for the sun, for they were going to use the sun as a magnet to push earth closer to it.

"Let's do this!" Dr. Steve says as he pushes the button to activate the inator.

The earth shakes as it moves closer to the sun...
