Chapter 7: The Intensity of Events

"That's odd. I thought it would make the earth go much closer!" Dr. Barbeque said.

Dr. Steve thought for a minute.

"What is it, Dr. Steve?"

"My friends from school..."

"What about them?"

"They prevented it from going all the way you were hoping for!"

"What?! Where are they now?!"

"Probably in bed resting after from what they failed on moving earth back into its original position."

"Ugh! Come on, Dr. Steve! We're giving them a piece of my mind!"

"Don't you mean our?"

"Yeah, same thing!"

"...and why did I join this organization again?" Dr. Steve said to himself.

The next morning, Henry wakes up to notice that he was not in his regular bed anymore. He gets up from where he was laying and looks around and notices that he is in some jail cell that had really thick glass instead of the barred wall that typical jail cells had. There were also small holes in the glass so people can talk to you through it.

He looks through the glass to see if anything is nearby. He can see Aidan, Roman, Francisco, Alex, and Kevin, all in the same situation, just nearby. Then, a fairly tall scientist with barbequed-looking hair comes up to Henry's cell.

"Why hello there!" He greeted.

"Who are you?" Henry asked him.

"My name is Dr. Barbeque. The head scientist of this...complicated building. As well as the head scientist of the Atomic Ovens!"

"What do you want from us?"

"Oh, nothing at all!"

Then, another scientist comes out to reveal...

"Dr. Steve?!" Henry and his other imprisoned friends gasped.

"What? I just did this because I knew you all interrupted this," Dr. Steve tried to defend himself.

"That's right! We only captured y'all so you all couldn't interrupt our plans to move the earth closer to the sun!" Dr. Barbeque added.

"Wait, you moved the earth closer to the sun?!" Henry asked.

"No, Dr. Steve did, surprisingly."

"What?! I thought you hated the heat! Why did you do that?!"

"Oh come on, I didn't feel like going to a store just to buy a heavier coat from the freezing cold temperature we were getting!" Dr. Steve tried to defend himself.

"Oh come on! You had to let it go!" Alex exclaimed.

"Don't you dare reference that," Dr. Steve gave Alex an evil eye.

"Well, we'll stop all of this eventually. Because just like in all catastrophic events like this, the good guys always win!"

"Hmph! We'll see about that!" Dr. Barbeque said as he and Dr. Steve left the room.

"I feel like they forgot to capture some people..." Aidan stated.

Logan, Lindsay, and Madelyn just got up for the morning.

"Good morning everyone!" Lindsey greeted as she yawned.

"Good morning! Did anyone notice the earth shaking last night?" Madelyn asked the group.

"Yeah... I wonder what happened..." Logan wondered.

"I'll go look outside," Lindsey said.

As Lindsey went downstairs to the front entrance, Logan and Madelyn eventually made it down as well.

"Now spring has turned into summer!" Lindsey stated as she went back inside.

Logan now began to freak out even more.

"Ugh, not again!" Madelyn complained.

...

"Good morning Vince!" Robert greeted.

"Mornin'," Vince said back.

"I still can't believe we lost all of that money we've won last night!" Robert then said.

"Hey, you were the main person who wanted to do this and gamble!"

"True..."

Last night at the casino, Robert and Vince played over and under, and they bet all their money for it to be under seven.. As the guy who hosts the game was about to roll the dice, the earth shook, making him drop the dice on the table. And so the number turned out to be over seven.

"WHAT?! WHO WON!?" Robert and Vince panicked.

Then, a mysterious afro guy from the casino came out.

"The mysterious afro guy from the casino?" Robert said, confused.

Then, the guy puts on his glasses.

"TONY THE MYSTERIOUS AFRO GUY FROM THE CASINO?!" Robert yelled.

"Dude, couldn't you figure out that it was Tony?" Vince asked.

"What? I was just trying to be more dramatic!" Robert defended himself.

"Oof, too bad y'all lost all that money!" Tony said.

"Dude, you're like crazy rich! You don't need anymore money!" Vince said.

"Hey, this is how I get rich fast!" Tony defended himself.

Robert and Vince looked at each other and then facepalmed themselves.

"Yeah, that was one of the most craziest nights of my life!" Robert then concluded.

"Also, by any chance, what was that earthquake all about last night, and why has the temperature outside has gotten suddenly higher?" Vince asked.

"Now that I have no clue on."
