When Margaret walks in I take a quick glance at Keegan and notice his body tense up. I put my hand on his thigh, reassuring him that I'm here for him.

Margaret walks straight to Jake and gives him a very passionate kiss on the lips, leaving me flabbergasted.

Keegan stands up kicking his chair back as it falls and walks out of the office. I hurry after him trying to catch up to him.

"I didn't dismiss you guys!" Jake bellows stopping both me and Keegan in our tracks.

Keegan glances at Jake over his shoulder and chuckles before he continues to descend down the stairs.

Boom!

Is the gunshot sound.
Keegan stops again and turns around this time fully facing Jake.

Keegan lets out a humourless laugh. "Do it." He says and I glare at him.

What is he thinking? Jake will shoot him without thinking once at the least.

"Jake, if you're going to stand there without doing a thing, then at least let us go." Keegan seethes.

Jake hesitates before pulling the gun up, aiming it at Keegan's head.

"NOOO!" A scream echoes the building. I cover my mouth with my hands when I notice that the scream came from me.

I look down at the lifeless body before me.
Shaking, tears reeling down my face, heart racing, throat dry.
I don't know what to do.

"Leave." Jake says through gritted teeth.

My feet are stuck to the ground until arms wrap around me. I look over my shoulder to find Keegan's warm, muscular arms leading me out of the warehouse.

When we get into the car, I buckle my seat, still shaking and scared.
Keegan starts the car and places his hand on my thigh.

"It's okay." He says in a soothing voice.

I shake my head vigorously. "Keegan he killed her!" More tears descend from my eyes. "I know I've shot people but I didn't kill them. And if I did, I did it to survive. I didn't have a choice..." Keegan squeezes my thigh reassuringly.

"I know." He takes a quick glance at me. "And we're going to take him down...soon."

When we got home I showered the little blood that was splattered on me.

After my shower I got dressed in tracksuits to get a little comfortable amd went out to find Keegan in the garden.

He was wearing glasses as he read a book which a little unusual because Keegan rarely wore glasses let along read a book.

"What you reading?" My voice hush as I walk over and take a seat next to him on the swing chair.
I throw my legs over his lap and lean back into the chair's arm.

"To Kill a mockingbird. My favorite book to read since I was a kid." He looks up and smiles slightly when he sees me.

"Well...weren't you a sophisticated kid." I chuckle.

He places the book down and faces me, smiling at me with his eyes and slightly with his lips.

I stare back at him, examining his apperance.

Gosh he looks so hot in glasses.

I look away trying not to blabber this crazy words about how hot he is.

"Annalise didn't deserve that." I take in a sharp breath. "She didn't deserve to die like that." I look back at him and he seems...sad.
"How come Jake didn't shoot you when you told him to? Not that I wanted him to." I ask, searching his eyes.

He takes in a sharp breath and exhales. "We were best friends." He simply says. "We–we went to college together and he was my best man at the wedding. He was in the illegal ring long before I knew about it's existance and when I had to join, things just got...weird. When I told him I wanted out, he told he had no choice but to punish me." He closes his eyes as though he feels everything like it had just happened yesterday.

I place my hand on his cheek and lean my forehead onto his. "I'm sorry you had to experience that." I whisper before place a soft, tender kiss pn my lips.

Wanting more I kiss him back harder, with more passion and need. When he also deepens the kiss I break from it and look at his brown-yellow eyes as I bite my swollen bottom lip.

"What are we Keegan?" I blab out the question that's been running through my mind.

"A couple." He whispers huskily. And I can't help but smile  at his words.

"This is wrong." I sigh as I look down with my hand still on his cheek. "We shouldn't do this. You're my boss and I'm your assistant and–"

"And I'm falling for you." He cuts me off and I look up at him with furrowed eyebrows.
He chuckles. "I'm falling hard, although we've only know each other for three months." He sighs.

"Keegan..." I sigh as I lean my forehead onto his again and close my eyes.

"I'm going to jail...soon."
