My Step Brother

Jacob Styles

I woke up in Harry's bed with his arms around my waist holding me tightly against him. I stretched and yawned as I reached for my phone and saw it was 7:30. Harry and I had a doctor's appointment this morning at 10.
"Baby" I said shaking him.
Harry woke up from his sleep and looked over. "What? What's wrong? What do you need? You okay?" He asked. I smiled. He was already such a good dad. Most guys his age wouldn't even be there for their baby mama.
"We have a doctors appointment this morning. Remember? We find out the sex."
Harry rubbed his eyes. "Oh yeah. Sorry babe, I forgot."
"No worries." I replied.  He leaned over and leaned in for a kiss.
I gasped and stopped him by putting my hand in front of my mouth.
"What?" He asked.
"Morning breath." I quickly said.
Harry smiled. "So, are you really going to let that stop you?"
I raised my eyebrows. "Uh, yeah..."
He chuckled. "Don't. Get used to it."
"What do you mean? Don't you brush your teeth?" I joked.
He smiled. "Yeah, I'm just talking about in the morning, because I am going to expect a kiss every day when I wake up."
I groaned.

Not unless he brushes them first.

He leaned over again. "Let's start again." He smirked.
"Don't you come any closer, Styles. I swear to all that-"
"Oh, what are you gonna do?" He was teasing with me.

He looked at me and smiled as he tried kissing me again. I was fighting it. He started playing with me as I giggled and kept turning my head away and pushing him back.
Harry pulled away, I guess he gave up.

He chuckled. "I bet the baby likes your laugh." he said rubbing my baby bump.
I smiled. "I bet he likes yours, too."
"You think?" Harry asked looking up at me smiling.
I nodded. "Of course."

...

We arrived at the appointment and I could tell Harry was anxious.
"Babe, would you calm down?" I said putting my head on his shoulder. Harry looked over.
"No, this- this is huge." He said as both of his feet tapped at the floor.
"Holy Mack, if you're this nervous about seeing the baby for the first time, imagine what you will be like when my water breaks." I laughed.
Harry ran his fingers through his curls. "Oh, god. Please- please don't even bring it up."
I giggled.
"Miss Northern & Mr. Styles?" The lady called out. I grabbed Harry's hand. "Come on, babe." I smiled as we walked back together.

They took my weight and I gained 25 pounds since my last check up. Which was good, I should be around that area anyway.

The doctor eventually came in. "How are we feeling today?" He asked.
"Pretty good." I replied rubbing my stomach.
He looked at Harry and Harry spoke. "Nervous." He said through his hands that covered his mouth. The doctor laughed and lifted up my shirt to reveal my baby bump.
"First kid. I know the feeling." He said putting the jelly stuff on my stomach.

Harry watched as he rolled the thing around my stomach.
Harry held onto my hand and squeezed it. "You're doing good, baby." I said as my thumb rubbed over the top of his hand. He smiled still fixated on the screen in front of him. I'm glad he was here with me for this moment.

The doctor stopped. "There we are."
Harry's eyes widened and his hand covered his mouth. "Wh-what's the sex?" He asked.
"A boy."
Harry had tears form in his eyes. "My son." He whispered.
I had tears forming as well.
"Do you want to hear the heartbeat?" The doctor asked.
I nodded.

He searched around some more until we heard little thumps.
"Oh my, god." Harry said.
Seeing him this way made me cry. I was so overwhelmed with emotions right now.

On the way home Harry was still sniffling.
"What do you think about Jacob?" I asked him.
"What about it?"
"The name for the baby. Jacob" I said looking over at him.
He looked over and nodded and looked back on the road. "Jacob Styles. I like that." He said.
I smiled.

Jacob Styles.

I rubbed my belly and smiled. I couldn't wait for him to finally come.
I loved him so much already.
