Tohru stretched as she got out of bed and walked over to her window, opening her curtains with a smile.
"It's another beautiful morning!" She opened the window and stuck her head out. "The weather will be perfect for helping Sohma-kun in the garden. The strawberries should be ripe by now, too."
She clapped her hands together happily.
"I can't wait. I'm sure they'll be delicious."
She glanced down into the garden and her eyes widened.
"Oh no!"
She padded down the stairs quickly and stepped outside, staring at the girl as she lay asleep on the grass.
"How did she...?" She stepped forward, tripping over Kyo as he slept on the porch.
"O-Ow..." She rubbed her head gently and Kyo's eyes burst open and he sat up, quickly looking around.
"H-Hey?! What?!" He blinked at Tohru, who met his eyes. "H-Huh?"
"Kyo-kun?" Tohru tilted her head slightly. "Why were you sleeping out here? You'll catch a cold."
She reached out to touch his forehead and he blushed slightly, turning his face away as he sat cross-legged and crossed his arms.
"I-I'm fine!"
"But..." Tohru turned toward Aki. "What is she doing out here, then?"
"The hell if I know." Kyo shrugged and his eyes rested in the Witch. "I just found her out here all by herself, doing some kind of weird magic."
"Oh no!" Tohru waved her arms frantically. "I was supposed to make sure she didn't do magic! Hatori-san is going to scold me for sure if he finds out!" She slumped slightly with a pout.
"Yeah, well..." Kyo scratched his head. "You were sleeping, so... I didn't want to wake you, so I decided to keep an eye on her for you. That way, Hatori can't blame you..."
"Kyo-kun..." Tohru smiled at him. "You're really thoughtful."
Kyo blushed and looked away quickly. "W-Well...! It was just a one time thing! Hatori asked you to look after her, not me. I'm not cut out for such boring stuff."
"Kyo-kun really is thoughtful." Tohru nodded, smiling again. Then she looked back at Aki. "But still... how did she even get out here by herself? She's still in no condition to walk."
"Beats me." Kyo shrugged, then stood up and stretched as he yawned. "I just found her there."
"I hope she didn't hurt herself." Tohru stood and held her held close to her mouth. "I don't want to bother Hatori-san, but maybe I should call him."
"Do what you want." Kyo yawned again. "I'm going to take a shower before breakfast."
He turned to leave and Tohru held up her hands.
"W-Wait! You have to help me carry her inside."
"Eh?" He turned to look at her and blinked. "How am I supposed to do that without transforming? I had to practically drag her out of the foyer before, remember?"
"Hm..." Tohru glanced down in thought. "R-Right..." After a moment, she tapped her fist on her palm. "I've got it!"
"Huh?"
"You won't transform if we both carry her. If we each lift part of her, then it'll work, I think."
Kyo scratched his head. "I think you're a little too optimistic about it... If you're wrong and I transform, she'll just fall since you can't support her weight by yourself."
