Chapter 14- Problem

"Ah... this is just what I needed." Aki let out a sigh as she leaned back in the tub and let the water rise to her chin. She closed her eyes as she relaxed and let out another sigh.

If only I could stay in here all the time.

After a while she sat up and rubbed her face, then ran her fingers through her hair.

But I can't waste too much time. I need to get starting on tracking right away. It shouldn't be hard to find a few weakened Ghouls, but the best place to start would be the school. Following their trail should be simple.

She leaned her head back again to stare lazily at the ceiling.

The faster I can do a Cleansing, the less time these people spend in danger. I should probably do a thorough sweep of the Sohma estate, too, just to be sure Ghouls haven't found it yet.

Her eyes closed briefly and she frowned slightly.

I can never catch a break, can I?

She washed quickly and drained the tub, then stepped out and wrapped the towel around herself. She dried off and wrung out her hair, which was now long enough to touch the ground and gather around her feet.

Well. That's a tripping hazard.

Aki stepped over her hair, twisting it like a rope and draping it over both shoulders like a scarf.

This at least works for now.

She looked at herself in the steamed-up mirror and reached over to draw on the glass. When she was finished, her reflection had a pair of cat ears and whiskers on her cheeks. She laughed quietly to herself and peeked outside of the bathroom to make sure there was no else, and then walked quietly into Tohru's room.

Her back rested against the door for a minute and her eyes rested on the clothes laid out. She stepped closer and held up the shirt, sighing softly.

It's so petite... I haven't been this size in years.

She slouched slightly and bit her lip.

Although, it's either I wear this, or I walk around naked. Creating clothes for myself with magic could work, but using Creation magic like that is taxing and petty.

Reluctantly she pulled the clothes on, and then gulped slightly once she was finished.

It's so tight!

She prodded her hips and shifted where she stood.

It's like she doesn't have hips at all. And this shirt...

She covered her exposed stomach with her hands, then frowned at her chest.

I'm almost completely spilling out on top, and it's become an unintentional crop-top. I didn't think I was that much bigger...

She wrapped the towel around her chest, stepped outside the room, and then started slowly down the stairs.

"Um... Tohru?" She called down. "You wouldn't have anything a little bigger... would you?"

"H-Huh?" Tohru stepped out of the room to look at her at the bottom of the stairs, "Those were spare clothes Uo-chan left behind the last time she slept over. They don't fit?"

"Unfortunately... no." Aki moved the towel so that Tohru could see, and she blushed at her.

"O-O-Oh my gosh!" Tohru blushed and waved her hands. "T-That won't work at all!"
