You walk out the door at exactly 1:00 knowing that you still have to wait for the bus for three hours.

'It's worth the wait.' you think to yourself as you walk. 'In the end I'll be far away from the house and the memories, I'll start over...'

You look at the bus booklet that you've been looking at off and on for weeks.

Beach City will be perfect for me. I don't know anybody, and I don't need to know anybody

Finally you step onto the bus to your freedom.

One step closer.

The ride takes about four more hours.

Once you step off the bus onto the sandy ground of Beach City you realize that in your hurry to leave you neglected to grab money for after the bus ride...

'Now what'll I do?' you think. 

Stressed, you walk around the little town. You walk past several restaurants serving, fries, pizza, and even donuts, but you know you can't get anything... because y'know... money.

You look in the shops while you walk, not paying much attention to where you're walking. Suddenly you collide with someone else- who wasn't paying attention either- falling to ground.

The other person landed on top of you. You blink to see the person there. A girl with pink tinted skin and pigtails sits on top of you. Your eyes get drawn to the upside down heart shaped gem on(in?) her chest.

Pink girl just tilts her head and stares at you for a second.

A sudden rush of panic runs through you, nervously you say, "Can I get up now?"

The pink girl blushes and immediately jumps up throwing her hand out to help you get up, "Sorry!"

Cautious, you reach up and grab her hand and she pulls you to your feet. Panic is still piercing through every part of your body.

"You okay?" pink girl asks quietly.

You just nod.

Pink girl tilts her head again, "You look scared, panicked even. Are you sure?"

You stare up shocked that she noticed the small changes that happen when you panic. You don't even bother responding.

She stares at you with a disappointed look on her face, "I gotta go, I'm Spinel by the way," she says walking past you.

'Isn't that a type of gem?' you ask yourself.

Despite being afraid, you look behind you to ask her, but she's gone.

"Hi!" says a cheery voice from behind me. Startled I jump around to see a boy maybe a little older than I am. "My name is Steven, what's your name?"

"I-I'm (Y/N).."

He smiles at you, "Hi (Y/N) did you happen to see a pink gem run by? She was supposed to stay with the diamonds and she snuck back to Earth."

You tilt my head just as pink girl did, "Spinel?"

He claps, "So you have seen her?"

"N-no," you lie, "Well yes- but I don't think she wanted you to find her."

A tall pale woman walked up and stood beside him, "Of course not, that is why we need to find her!"

You look from pale lady to Steven and back, "Well, I can't help you."

With those words, you turn around and run.
