(I TURNED STEVEN INTO AN ASSHOLE WARNING)

The room they set you and Spinel into is grey with one light in the corner and one of those one sided mirrors.

"(Y/N), I have no idea what's going on." Spinel says nervously.

You don't respond.

"(Y/N)?"

You again don't respond.

"(Y/N) please!" says Spinel, desperate for reassurance.

Eventually you just sigh, "I don't know what's going to happen and I'm sorry I can't reassure you."

A different police officer walks into the room, this time a woman, "(Y/N)," she addresses as she sits down across from us. "I understand you were there when Matthew Johnston was murdered."

You nod.

"Did you know him before he was murdered?" the woman questions.

Scared now, you look down.

"Miss," Spinel pipes up, "Do you mind if I answer this question for her? It's... hard for her."

The woman grumbles, "Fine, as long as I get answers. So did she know him prior to his death?"

"Yes." Spinel says plainly, "She may not have known his name but she knew him."

"How did she know him?"

Spinel's face turns into an irritated look, "He... Sexually assaulted her... a few years back."

You nod, still looking at the tiled floor.

The woman just sits there with a bored look on her face as she writes down the info. "Do you mind if I bring in another witness?"

"No," you squeak quietly.

Silently the woman gets up and leads another person through the door... Steven.

"Hello Steven, please sit down." the officer says kindly.

"She didn't do that for us..." Spinel whispers to you.

Steven sits down at an unoccupied side of the table, "Hi (Y/N) and Spinel."

"Hiya Steven!" says Spinel in an overenthusiastic sarcastic tone whereas you just wave.

The woman sit back down in the spot she was originally, "Okay Steven, Any thoughts?"

Spinel starts talking before Steven can, "Miss I don't think this is necessary, I'm the one to blame. I killed him."

Steven nods, "Yes, Spinel was the one who committed the murder, however officer, she's a very impressionable gem. If it weren't for (Y/N)'s influence she wouldn't have done anything."

You gasp, "I was telling her to stop!"

"Well when you said something you were running away, allowing her to proceed." Steven says matter-of-factually

Spinel growls, "She had nothing to do with my actions!"

When the officer finishes writing notes she gets up and walks out of the room.
