After the whole "Shoving Spinel into the water, then her dragging you in" fiasco you both walk side by side down the boardwalk. Cold salty water drips from your hair and clothing. Spinel on the other hand looks completely dry. "I need to get dry clothes on."

Spinel tilts her head and stares at you, "Huh?"

You hold up the duffel bag holding the majority of your possessions, then gesture to your wet clothing, "I want to stop at one of these stores to change my clothes in the restroom."

She looks away, "Oh, okay."

Quietly you slip into one of the nearby stores and into the restroom in the back. As quickly as you can you change your clothes. When the wet clothes are off you reach inside your duffel bag and grab a plastic shopping bag to put them into it.

You gasp when you walk out. A familiar male face can be seen just down the isle beside the bathroom. Terrified, you quickly turn the other way and walk. When you look over your shoulder you see that he saw you and he's now pretending that he isn't following you, but he is. You burst out the door of the store seeing Spinel awkwardly standing outside looking out at the ocean.

"Spinel." you say urgently in a low voice.

She looks over at you, "(Y/N)? You look upset."

You grab her arm and start walking away dragging her with me. "Let's go."

"Huh?"

Looking over your shoulder, Spinel follows your example. 

"Who's that?"

I turn to face forward again. "It's him."

She stops dead. Spinel removes my arm gently.

"Spinel...?"

Spinel turns around and begins walking toward the man.

"Spinel! What are you doing?!?"

Not responding she continues, "Hey! You!" The man looks startled. "You creep, why the hell are you following (Y/N)?!?"

He looks at her, stuttering, "Y-you're one of those weird gemstone people..."

She laughs cruelly, her arms stretching out and wrapping tightly around his neck. "Yes, and you are a fragile human.

"Spinel!" you yell, "STOP!" you run up and grab her shoulder, "Spinel, this isn't right."

A sad and confused look crosses her face, "W-what do you mean? He hurt you!"

You smile slightly, "Well recently someone told me the best way to deal with pain is to forgive all involved."

She lets go and the man falls to his knees. "Wow, really?" Spinel says sarcastically tilting her head.

"Yeah."
