"(Y/N)!! COME BACK!!" Steven calls from behind you.

You glance over your shoulder and see them trying to follow you, but your still faster. Quickly you turn a sudden corner not knowing where it'll take you.

Just up ahead you see a fence, and with another quick glance behind you; you jump the fence and ungracefully fall.

One again you've crashed into someone...

"Spinel?"

Spinel just stares at you, then she starts laughing, "Fancy meeting you again!"

You smile, getting up.

She looks up into your eyes, "I don't think I got your name-"

Taking a step back you say, "I- My name?"

Spinel tilts her head, "Well yeah, you know mine. Shouldn't I know yours?"

"(Y/N)- I'm (Y/N)."

Jumping to her feet she chuckles, "Nice name! So, (Y/N), wanna sit with me a while?"

You decide that even though you're scared, you'll sit with Spinel. But you never let your guard down. The two of you sit along the fence you just jumped over. "Why don't you want to be found?" you eventually ask.

She stares at you with a smile, "I could ask you the same question. It's obvious you aren't here for fun, and whatever it is. You're scared." Then she looks away, "Though, I suppose I'll answer you first. Y'see I'm supposed to be on Homeworld right now, with the diamonds, but... I was supposed to be a playmate, a- entertainment thing. I used to be like a child. Innocent, but stupid."

Spinel breathes in, "Pink Diamond, who doesn't exist now, was my 'best friend'. But I guess that a gem colony on Earth, and protecting its life was more important than a-a toy... She left me in her garden in space, standing, waiting... For about six thousand years. Now I finally have a chance to make myself happy again, but- I'm not sure I want to."

The two of you sit in silence while you take that in, "I'm... Sorry."

She just puts on a sad smile, "Your turn."

"I-I uh... Uhm... I kinda ran away- My house where my mom is, that's about 200 miles away."

"Why'd you run away?"

You shift nervously, "Two years ago something very bad happened to me in that house, but I haven't told anyone about it- It was my fault... I didn't fight hard enough..."

Spinel puts her hand on your shoulder, and though you know that is was just a kind gesture, you slap her hand away. "What do you mean?"

"I was assaulted," you start crying, "My mom's boyfriend at the time, he-he- he sexually assaulted me, and I don't want to go home because of the memories!"

When you look back at Spinel you see she's also crying. "(Y/N)... I-I- you didn't have to tell me... I wasn't forcing you to..."

You just gather your knees and pull them to your chest. "It's all my fault- I-I wasn't strong enough..."

Spinel scoots in front of you and looks into your eyes, "It's not your fault. He was in the wrong!"

You look down, "I came here to try and forget."

"(Y/N), you shouldn't forget... you need to forgive- yourself."
