The moving truck stopped in front the house we were moving into..The house wasn't huge but it was quite nice...homey, sort of.
I stepped out and looked around.
There was a Mustang in front of our neighbor's house.
Ok.. loaded?
Their house was not that bigger than ours, but it sure could hold on it's own.
I hate assume but I guess they were kinda well off. That I was sure. I just hoped they didn't have a stick up their ass.
I just wished I could find Winnie a friend. We had to leave behind all our friends there.
But on the other side, this was a new beginning. Not everyone gets second chances.
Getting Winnie's and my boxes out, I walked in to our humble abode. Dad was talking to the moving guys.
That was good. At least he's talking to someone. That was an improvement from last month. He never even left his room.
Winnie's room was right next to mine. So I kept her boxes in and then went into my room.
It wasn't that big but it was close enough. I had a closet and an attached bathroom, with a bath-tub. That was more than enough for me.
My window overlooked the window of my neighbor. I hoped there was someone I could hang out with here.
It would be nice to know at least one person before I went to school.
And that's when I first see him.
He came right into his room while I peered through my window.
He took a guitar case, slung it right over his shoulder and left as soon as he came.
He didn't even realize I was looking.
And as I watched, he came out of his house, looked at the truck in front of my house and looked right at my window.
I jumped and hid quickly behind the wall. I could feel my heart trying to jump out of my chest.
Then when I peered, I saw him seated in the car that was parked in front of his house. And he drove off.
But at that time, neither of us realized what was to come for both of us.
Neither of us wanted or expected it!
