The Underworld_15: Pandeia

Today I am really excited. Why you might ask? It's because Hades is finally showing me the underworld! Also because I haven't seen him in a very long time. I lost count on the days he left me by myself, maybe even months?
He's always busy and I don't want to bother him. I spend my days with the chef, Lothar, tending to the garden or playing with Yami and Midnight. Azreal keeps me company from time to time, he really makes me laugh sometimes with his jokes.
My mother and the rest can't really come and visit, because Hades does not allow anyone to enter the underworld unless they really need to. So basically never, I do talk to them with the globe so that helps alot, but I miss them.
So when Thanatos finally called me yesterday to say Hades will take me out today, boy oh boy was I happy!  I spend hours choosing a dress, wondering what Hades would like. I settled on a plain white dress with flower details around the waist and from my shoulder to my elbows. It flows like a river when I walk and I absolutely love it.

A smile plays on my face and I touch my lips.
I could still remember the second day, the day of our very first kiss...

It was a late night and I wanted to have some honeymilk. I was sitting at the kitchen table, I could hear the tortured souls in the distant. Thana told me that they were louder at night.
"Oh, I didn't know you were up." Hades was there, standing at the kitchen door, he didn't have a shirt on with just his black pants. I was glad that he couldn't see my blush that had reached my cheeks. His body is an art on its own.
"Yeah, I wanted some honeymilk, do you want some?" I asked all to quick, but he seemed to catch on because he nod and sat down. I poured him a glass as well. We sat at opposite ends of the table in silence. It was somewhat uncomfortable, but I didn't mind. Being near him was enough.

He finally finished his milk and I took our glasses to the sink. When I turned around he was right behind me. I jumped out of fright but he claimed my lips so fast that I went from frightened to melting from his lips one mine. It was a fierce kiss, full of desire. He held me tight and pushed his tung into my mouch. I moaned in delight to which he growled. I snaked my arms around his neck while I savored his intoxicating scent. I've never been kissed like that before, but all to soon for my taste, he stopped. The moonlight shone on his face and I could see how shocked he look. He was gone in an instant. Leaving me falling on the ground, because he kissed me till I was jelly. .  .

I never saw him after that again. A knock on the door made me rush to it. "You can hide your disappointment a little bit Lady Pandeia." Thanatos says when I saw him at the door. I really was expecting Hades, so I couldn't help it when my face showed a slight disappointment. "I'm sorry Thana." He smiles at me, but it seems more like a worried smile. "You look beautiful today." I twirl around. "I picked this outfit specially for today, isn't it beautiful. Are you taking me to Hades?" His mood makes me stop from smiling. "Actually, I came to tell you that Hades isn't going to make it. Something came up." My heart breaks, but I try to not let it get me. "Oh, I see. It can't be helped." My voice could barely count as a whisper and I sit down on the couch, holding my arms tightly.
"Uhm, but I can show you around if you like? You are dressed up, wouldn't want to waste such a beautiful dress." He was trying to cheer me up. "Sure, if you are not to busy?" He must be busy since Hades is. "I have some time to kill." He bows with his arms showing me out. I didn't want to say no,maybe it will help keep my mind away from Hades.
"Oky, thank you Thana." I try to smile, but I know it didn't reach my eyes.

The underworld was absolutely beautiful. Thana made us ride in a carriage, saying it was much safer for me.
Why does nobody like the underworld? It was so far absolutely beautiful. Thana showed me the Elysion Fields. The rivers were different colors, each with their own ability. Small nymphs lived on the river banks and also in them. Flowers of every kind grew everywhere and some I've never even seen before, even in my mother's own garden. Thana told me it's because they are unique to the underworld.
In the air floated different crystal in all shapes and sizes. He tells me that these are the noble souls that live their lives out here. If one touches the crystal, you get to enter the souls eternal live.
The waters of memory was really fascinating, there flows so many memories of the dead, the roots of the trees also held memories and when the petals falls to the ground it shows a memory and fades away when the petals touches the ground. It fascinated me more than anything, I spent alot of time there. Thana didn't seem to mind.
The river of Styx was also interesting, Thana says it's the river of hate, so you could hear angry yells and curses comming from it. Thana says anyone who is not a god who stays there for too long gets sucked into the river in an eternal hatred.
The river ahead whas the river of tears, so naturally you could hear crying, some were happy and some sad, more sad though. He also showed me the gate to Tartarus. It was a big, massive, gigantic door. Chains were wrapped all around it and Thana tells me that it has a protective barrier around it that only Hades can break. Should Hades fall, the gates would open. I never knew he had this big of a responsibility, because no one ever told me about this. No wonder his realm is so guarded. Hades in one amazing ruler.
The whole place was covered in what looked like lava.
Further up lives the Oneiroi, the gods who weaves dreams. He said we can't enter. It's against the agreement that Hades made with them, and also that Thana's brother lived there with his sons that are the three main Oneiroi. The land was covered on mist. Should you wander in there, you would be forever lost in dream, which can either be good or your worst nightmare.
Next to them lives Nyx, the place looked very dark and gloomy. It felt like a horror movie times a thousand. Thana says that even if they can enter her realm, no one does because the torment that their minds go through is the worst. So no one really goes there and she keeps for herself. All in all, the underworld was like all the season combined into one world, starting with the Elysium fields where its summer to where Nyx stays that is winter. I loved everything about the underworld and this trip. I just really wish Hades could've shown me all of this instead of Thana, but I am really grateful that he showed me this today. As the queen of this realm, I needed to know the place.

We arrive back at the castle, there was still so much I wanted to see, but it was late. "Thank you Thana, I really enjoyed it alot." He gives a genuine smile. "It was my pleasure Lady Pandeia." I tried to get him to call me Pan or at least Pandeia, but no such luck. I'll keep trying though. "I don't suppose Hades is available for supper?" Thana's face shows the answer I already knew. "It's alright,it was a long shot. Thank you again for today Thana." I closed my bedroom door as fast as I could. Letting the tears finally fall down my face taking the pieces of my broken heart with it.
