Spencer's pov

I was going to go spend a week with Derek in las vegas we were going to visit my mom for the first time in a while. The team managed to say that my suicide attempt was some kind of unsub attack and I managed to go back to work. I couldn't believe they lied for me. I still have therapy now and Garcia is still a little weird around me but I honestly don't care.

Sr: Guys, I have to tell you all something important
JJ: what is it spence
Sr: you guys are amazing, thank you for all you have done for me. I love youuu
DM: why do you sound drunk
SR: I'm sat literally next to you I am not drunk
AH: when is your flight to Vegas
DM: 6am tomorrow
PG: stay safe chocolate thunder, call me when you land.
EP: please say it wasn't just me who noticed that.
JJ: I noticed that
Dr: yup same here
SR: it's been 3 years Penelope, what is your problem
PG: MY PROBLEM. you have some nerve, Spencer Reid. We had to cover and lie about your suicide attempt to the big bosses you made everyone cry, you made me think that you were dead, that you were gone for what a bit of attention your so happy and smiley it's pathetic. I can't believe that the team accepted you back I mean I thought Emily was a bit selfish for faking her death but spencer you took the selfish thing to a whole new level. To be honest I hate how everyone pretends to never happened yet I remember crying because I thought I couldn't save you. So my problem is you.

Jj: that was a bit harsh penelope, he was sick he needed help
SR: she's right I am selfish, I was sick, I'm sorry
PG: sorry isn't good enough

DM: WHAT WAS THAT. IT HAS BEEN OVER 3 YEARS. YOU'RE PUSHING IT PENELOPE.

I got up from the sofa where I and Derek were sitting and ran into my room crying I closed the door and cried. Why would she think that?

" spencer baby, can you please open the door," Derek said calmly

I stood up from behind the door and opened it.

"hey," he said with his soothing voice sitting on the floor where I just sat down.

"dont think about it we are going to have an amazing time in Vegas so let's go to sleep we have to be up early tomorrow," he said standing up then dragging me up. We had already been showered so we just went straight to bed.

We woke up at 4 am to catch our flight to Vegas. I grabbed our suitcase and my brown bag what had a couple of books and our passports and flight details in.

We caught the flight I got the window seat and Derek got the middle. He fell asleep on my shoulder and I read, this is literally how the full flight went.

When we landed in Vegas and we checked into out hotel that was relatively close to where my mom was. We decided that we would just go for a walk around Vegas for today. I sat on the bed looking out of the window while Derek did something behind me.

"hey baby, shall we go for a walk or should we just stay in and watch movies" he said behind me

I looked up to the sky to see the grey clouds, it looked as if it was about to rain.

"i think we should stay in and watch movies," I said

"lets get into our comfy clothes then" he said kissing my face.

I opened the draw where Derek has been placing our things away we were sharing a drawer for some strange reason as I looked for some fluffy socks I came across a ring box. I opened it to see a ring inside of the box

"hey boo bear," I said
He came walking through and saw that I had the ring box in my hand.
"whats this," I asked

"well, the thing is you shouldn't have found that but since you did I was going to wait until we went on a romantic dinner date of a romantic walk. But anyways Spencer Reid you make me the happiest man on this planet when I wake up next to you it reminds me how lucky I am and I realized that I live you and I always will. Spencer will you marry me" he said as he took the box out of my hand and got down to one knee

My eyes filled up with tears, "Yes" I exclaimed "of course I will" I said as I wrapped my arms around him.
